First, two things. One, yes, it's been out (and on my game shelf) forever :P . Two, I'm playing and asking now because I wanted to get Origins just right before I started (also don't flame me for not searching... I tried the knoweledge base to no avail and I can't find a search function for the forums... probably my fault).

Now, as I said in my Title, I have the Collectors Edition and ALL DLCs. I searched Yahoo and Google for quite some time and came up with no answer. The best info I could find was that Shale was supposed to be an NPC but once the release date got pushed back they made him a playable character... or recruitable as it were. (That doesn't help me)

In my installed and active DLCs I have "Golem's Might (for Awakening)" (picture of Shale). In the 'information' section, it says nothing about Shale being available for recruiting, only that you get a 'special reward'. Of course, I read differently during my research.

I also have  "Witchcraft (for Awakening)" (picture of Morrigan). This leads me to believe you may be able to recruit Morrigan too.

Therefore, my question:
WHERE do you find Shale (and Morrigan if I'm right about being able to recruit her). Im sure people with these DLCs have played the game through by now, so I would appreciate it. Shale was my main tank by far so I'd like to grab him as soon as it's possible.

Morrigan is a mandatory addition for your party in DAO, she is not available outside the main campaign (including Awakening). Shale is also available for DAO main campaign only (assuming from your post that you got her there).

Golem's Might is a side quest in Awakening, but it has nothing to do with Shale.

In short: neither Morrigan nor Shale is available in Awakening.

Ah, what a dissappointment!

While I was reading your first paragraph I was thinking "well, yes I know" because you were only mentioning DAO and not Awakening. However, you went on to answer my questions, so thank you very much.:D

Im slightly... well... pissed that the articleS I read said shale would be a companion. My party was PC Rogue / Shale Tank / Alistair Off-Tank / Wynne Healer. :(

So I suppose I'm going to have to formulate a whole new system. Then again, that's part of the fun isn't it (Glares at the people b*tching about DA2) (jokingly) :innocent:

You get one returning party member for Awakening and some cameos.

DA2 is great fun....

haha, yea, but if you can't tell I always get the Collector's, Limited, or Special Edition. So I was really upset with how they handled it this time (I think it's called Signature Edition?).

Therefore I'm still waiting out with the hope that it will be re-released. Besides, obviously, I haven't played through Awakening yet, and I can always perfect my Origins save so when I import it, it's the best it can be.

Basically, I don't need it quite yet :P ...Though of course I will play it. It's just a question of time.

(BTW, when it came out and nobody could get the SE, did you see that it was selling on eBay for an average of 130$!!!! Most were 150$!)

In all honesty, I'd be willing to spend my hard earned cash and buy the nomal edition to play and someone's already-used SE (for a decent price) to have. Assuming that's legal (I don't see why not). If EA/Bioware were smart they would simply put it back out there for an extra 10-15 or whatever $. Then again, I don't know if that would cause backlash or lawsuits from people who bought the normal edition and are upset the SE is back (hypothetical people!). As materialistic as it sounds/is, I only like those editions because of the cover (usually metal) and the extra crap packed inside, make of that what you will.

Unless you want it in mint condition, the only real difference is the Exiled Prince DLC which is already available separately.

I want it for the box to add to my bookshelf... but then again you already know that because of our messages.

I'm also a graphic/game designer so I like to see any concept art books... or any art book for that matter.

I just loooked at the content I'd forgot. Wow... underwhelming... :D

Regardless, I want that box!

My shelf has a space (or at least I think I can squeeze one) that needs filled! :P
