[Request] Bone Pit Mine Fix

In all the years that have past the mine has not turned a profit?
I think it would be nice to include some sort of reward for the Bone Pit. There are quests that could work as modifiers in how much money you get back.
Also I think this would be a nice way to give you more money so you can afford more of those high priced items.

{{{{{SPOILER!!!!! AHEAD}}}}}}
You can end up owning the mine to which you say that "maybe you can do something with it later".
Could be something that happens in a DLC or the next game?

I hope we get something from it in a DLC, but I doubt it will happen.

I think they abstract it into the same giant pile of cash that you use to get the Amell estate after the Deep Roads mission, but never see most of.

It's saved in your plotflags for Dragon Age Tycoon: The Bone Pits, where you play as Hawke, the business savvy champion, hellbent on turning a profit by exploiting the needs of both the templars and magi of thedas

Excuse me, but the only good kind of tycoon involves rollercoasters. Will Hawke be able to build rollercoasters, yes/no?
I'll call mine The Circle of Terror!

Only if you either are or have a Mage, as you'll need magic to power them.Kolotosa wrote...

Or, just a lot of Ferelden labourers at the end, running really fast.

No kidding. When Bodhan runs you down at the beginning of Act II with a "huge purse of coins" from the final sale of your Deep Roads loot, and its the same 50g you used to pay for it...... wow... super underwhelming.
It should have at least been 100g so I felt like I doubled my money.

Well considering he said its "The last of the proceeds" from your expedition you actually made a lot more, but you used it to buy a mansion in hightown.
Now for some math!
If Mansion > 0, then
Mansion + 50 gold > 50 gold.

Yeah yeah, but its symbolic. I mean the fact that the game gives you EXACTLY the amount you paid for the expedition itself is just brutal. Sure, you got your mansion, but lets be honest: its not really anything special.
You can't do anything cool like click on your bed and trigger a romance scene with your currently romanced partner.
The functions are no better than what you had in Gamlen's house.
Now, if you could actually upgrade it and do things there, or even if your companions would hang out there (more than just a random drop by), that would be better.... But I'm getting away from myself here.

Actually I just realized I could probably change the event to give any amount of gold if I could be bothered to look it up in the rewards.gda file.

Apparently tho, they're there to see the dog, not you. You carry them for X amount of years and this is what happens...

Good points. When I finished act 1 and got my mansion though I just said hey I'm rich time to get some money out of the Bank of Console.

Well, if I am being honest, the first thing I did on my first playthrough was make a withdrawal from the Bank of Console.
I don't know why exactly, but in single player RPGs I absolutely ABHOR having to worry about money. And if I find a merchant that has something I want, I want to be able to buy it right then. I don't want to have to keep track of which merchant where has something I want, and then save up.
But still........ getting 50g as my payoff after paying 50g just seemed cruel.

Replace the dog model with the desire demon one and it all suddenly starts to make sense...

You get 5 gold when you speak to your co-owner, early in act 2 if i remember right.Episcopus710 wrote...
I was playing last night when I realized that I still own 50% of the Bone Pit and my Hawke has yet to see any cash from this mine.

Not exactly much but it's probably the silly level-scaling item prices and loot drops combined with regular quest rewards that make the amount underwhelming.
