So I gather that mages are fine when you include CCC (they hurt...600% chain lightning ouch) but CCC doesn't always happen and the cooldown on the spells are quite long.

I was thinking of modifying the spells to do 50% more damage but lowered CCC by 50% as well (300% chain lightning on staggered). The damage will roughly be the same in terms of CCC but without CCC, the damage is better.

What do you guys think? Will this ruin mage gameplay overall?

Could try 100% damage also with 50% lowered CCC damage just to make them on par in terms of damage dealing compared to warriors.

Don't know. Need experienced people here ><

Cross class Combos seem to be mantra of DA2. Whatever the reason is, possibly the way magic was handled in Origins, it is clear that developers had CCC in mind when making the game. In other words, it is an integral part of the game and substantial changes to it, read nerfs, would undermine game mechanics as a whole. I do not think it is a good idea, perhaps in another game, but DA2 is made around it.

TarristerWelm: CCC is Cross class Combo.

As to the question: Sorry, I can't help; I play on the 360, so modding isn't something I know about.

Cooldowns are almost universally the same for all 3 classes. You're more upset that mages have weaker auto-attacks, as they should since their spells are so much more useful and are aoe.

I kind of want to switch around the damage done.
So, 50% increased damage across the board.
CCC decreased by 50% like chain lightning 300% instead of 600% on staggered.
