In Dragon Age 2, Seneschel Bran says: "Do the words "political maelstrom" mean anything to you?"

Most obvious are the similarities between Fenris and Wolverine when you ask the former about his past and how he got to be what he is.

I giggled when the talkative man said "The truth is out there." I used to love X-files.

I wonder if Hawke's "One less to worry about!" battle cry counts - it's what Garrus frequently says. What do you guys think?
Also, this:
I was just about to mention that!

There is also a Dwarven bandit group called the Undercut Thrifters which remind me of the Crosscut Drifter quest in Orzammar.

Varric makes a comment in the Hanged man: "Wanna see something funny? Filrt with Edwina. I dare you!"
Heheh. I thought that's what I heard him say too.

LOL! And here I was thinking this was a veiled 3WM reference:ishmaeltheforsaken wrote...
Anyone mention "Three Wolf Boon" yet? My warrior's wearing it

Things like that make me miss item descriptions...

@Antichri5 - I'd forgotten that until you mentioned it! Love it!

If you're walking around in the Rose in Act III, one of the gals says to another gal "I'm thinking of getting my hair done." To which the other girl replies, "You should! You've had the same hair for seven years!" Which made me LOL very hard.
Oh, that's funny! Haven't heard that one yet.
@Palentor - I wondered who Mirabelle was, but not having played Jade Empire, I didn't know. Thanks!
@Teira - You get the actual rod, too? Oh man, that's great!

Okay, here's another one I need explained.
@Dr. - As I said above, I haven't played JE, but I wouldn't it put it past BW to do that.
@Hilde - *wave* O.M.G.! I didn't even THINK of the Undercut Thrifters! The Crosscut Drifters ALWAYS made me laugh because regardless of how many umpteen million times I've played Origins... every single time I got a codex entry for Crosscut Drifters, I read the notice on my screen as "Cross Dressers" and had to do a double-take.
@Addai - I love that quest!

Never thought I'd hear a reference to the movie Cold Comfort Farm anywhere, least of all a video game. Lol.

I clicked on Sandal in Hawke's estate, and he said, "I saw something nasty in the woodshed." Gave me a good chuckle.

HAHAHAHA seriously?! So awesome.
I wonder if I can name my Hawke "Robert Post's child".

In a similar vein the ethereal golem drops the "Rock Band" belt.

I missed this one the first time around... On Zevran's quest, when you see the Varterral, Hawke says, "Didn't I kill this once already?"
If you have Merril with you, she'll actually explain why it's still there, which I thought was a nice little touch.

@Jadefishes - "Rock Band" belt was great!
@Sjofn - Maybe I had Merrill in my party the first time around and so didn't hear Hawke asking. I didn't have her this time, so Hawke was left scratching her head.
@kgaustad - I don't know who the scary lady is. I've always been a little worried it's mom come back to haunt her worthless daughter.
@Enchantedeyes - I think that's exactly what it is! He made a couple references to Velanna (though I can't remember them for the life of me, right now).

I'm not entirely sure whether it's intentional, but nonetheless when I heard that battle cry I instantly heard Garrus in my head.
Edit:
Thinking for a few seconds about this -- I'll probably end up convinced it's intentional. I recognize quite a few battle cries from Origins (plus, Anders uses the exact same ones he uses in Awakening, but that seems only logical), like F!Hawke yelling "That's enough!" and it sounds exactly like Leliana in Origins, or someone (couldn't put my finger on who it was) using Morrigan's battle cries like "Too easy!" in a pretty similar tone.

I had noticed that too. A LOT of the battle cries are just like the ones from Origins.

One of Hawke's remarks in the mansion about a book - "Kirkwall Siege - Siege Harder. Varric must be stopped." seems to be a nod to Die Hard (DieHard - Die Harder)
and my suspicions were furthered by this convo with Aveline.
■Aveline: You, Varric, have a very large mouth.
■Varric: And here I've always looked up to you. What is it now?
■Aveline: There were fistfights in the barracks over who is the model for your guard serial.
■Varric: Hard in Hightown. Riveting stuff. Everyone loves a dirty guard on the edge.
■Aveline: Varric.
■Varric: Fine. I'll start his big finish. Three chapters until Donnen Brennicovick retires and opens a tavern on the coast.
■Varric: I sure hope he makes it. He's getting too old for this ****.
