So to start with the game was running fine but I was having trouble activating the dlc. I fixed this by going into Services and manually starting Dragan Age: Origins-Content Updater. After this I noticed the 1.04 patch and that it is supposed to fix it so I don't have to manually start the content updater, so I got it. Big mistake. I started getting a message saying my game was have a misconfiguration problem. I searched and found a new .rar file http://forums.impuls...page/2/#2439212

After putting the file in the bin_ship folder, I try to start the game through both EA download manager and straight through the DA folder but for each I'm asked to activate my game on this computer. I enter the same email and password as before and Im getting a "We could not activate DisplayName field missing from registry. on this computer using the EA account you provided. Please take a moment to locate your game key and activate your game on this computer using your EA account."

I downloaded and installed each patch, except 1.03 wouldn't go all the way but it doesn't fix anything. I currently have 1.01 installed and still same thing. If I replace the new .rar file with the old one I get a "Error: there is a problem with your game's setup. please reinstall." I have reinstalled 2 times. After the new install the game works as long as I don't patch it, but how do I go back to that original without reisntalling again?Posted Image

Sorry you're having problems. As far as I know, there's no way to roll back patches. I suspect doing a complete uninstall, rebooting and cleaning out any lingering folders and registry references, and then reinstalling would be the best.

If you're using EA download manager, I would suggest making sure it's the latest version and running "As Administrator" if you're using Vista/Win 7.
