They're still together in Year 7. By Year 10, the Warden has disappeared *cue Twilight Zone music*

They weren't still together in year 7 for me, according to the dialogue. I romanced Leliana and she traveled with the Warden in the epilogue of Origins for me. But in her cameo here she said something along the lines of she sings songs of her time with the Warden or something like that, and implying that time had concluded some years ago.

Same here.  I got the impression, from the letter Leli sends you in Awawkeing and from her cameo in DA2, that Leli and the Warden parted ways not long after the events of DA:A.

There's a bug that prevents her from speaking the right lines. She's supposed to say (if your warden romanced her) that "She is dear to my heart."

Pretty clear that they're still together.

My DA:A epilogue stated that Leli and my Warden traveled together and were spotted once in Denerim. So, it seems they stayed together for some time after DA:A until their inevitable 'break up' or whatever...

I'm dying to know what they'll do with Leliana next. She's definitely one of the coolest characters of the DA universe.

If you imported a DA:O Leliana romance with the warden it should have leliana say the warden is dear to her heart. If you import a DA:A save then that is lost somewhere.

To summarize

Leliana is retconned from death if you left her in lothering or killed her at andraste's ashes.
Leliana is still supposively in a relationship with the Warden if a romance ever did occur at year 7.
At year 10 the warden is missing and Leliana is no longer with him obviously.

I dunno, she pauses when she speaks of the Warden, so perhaps it could be interpreted either way.  Whatever.  :)

Was I the only one who totally thought that Leliana and Cassandra were a thing?

Ten years is a long time. :-) Plenty of "I'll love you forevers" don't last three years, nevermind ten years. It could be that the Warden just disappeared at some point, or there was a fight, or Leliana needed the Maker in her life to feel whole.

Plus, don't forget the Calling. Maybe, for the Warden who slew an archdemon, the Calling came early.

My Warden took advantage of and supported the continuation of Avernus's research, so the Calling isn't much of a concern for her. And as I said, she and Leliana were still very much together in Year 7 (thought they were seperated by distance). At some point in the three years subsequent, however, my warden disappeared. I don't know what's up with that, but it's not because of some fight.

I hope you're right.  :)  Who knows though, maybe Avernus screwed something up and made the Warden worse.

Maybe, but he hasn't felt the Calling, and he's also extended his life otherwise. He's been around for hundreds of years.

You certainly have a fair point!  The methods he used weren't very Chantry friendly though.  Maybe Leliana caught the Warden partaking of some of those methods and realized what she was a part of... then took off.

Agreed.  At the end of Awakening it specifically mentioned my Warden and the red-haired bard being a regular site in the markets of Denerim.  It seemed like a sweet and well-deserved end for both the Warden and the woman she loved.

I loves me some Bioware, I really do.  But I wish they would avoid ret-conning our choices.  I do realize it becomes difficut when you have so much open-ended gameplay to anticpate and carry over, but in that case just don't bring back romance interests or plot-heavy characters.  Sten, Wynn, Shale, Ohgren, Nathaniel, etc are all characters who were important to their respective games but not necessarily a deep and abiding part of the player character's ongoing, personal history.  Bringing back Anders into DA2 felt like a continuation of his story.  Bringing back Leliana and Zeveran has just led to a lot of folks feeling that the story of their Warden is no longer valid.

The fact is that Bioware has worked very hard to engender deep, meaningful relationships in their characters and the player experience.  The flipside to that is that they really should continue fostering and respecting that experience from game to game.

Until we have definite proof otherwise I'm not going to believe that Leliana doesn't know or at least have an idea of where the Warden is. They've been apart for extended periods of time before and there's no telling how long the Warden has been "missing" by that conversation and there is especially nothing that really suggests the relationship has ended. The look Leliana has at the end of that scene when she's left alone with the book makes me think she knows more about what's going on than she's telling Cassandra. I'm starting to believe her vision in DA:O might have been real and may have been about more than the Darkspawn because that Blight was over very quickly compared to all the previous Blights.

dunno what to make of Leliana..but she seemed rather cold when i met her during Seb's quest...i actually thought she was evil for a second...:D...the final scene is interesting...but why is it that Leliana is the only companion from DAO who is looking for the Warden..and if the warden left with Morrigan why didn't FInn or erm that dalish girl tell anyone what happened ?
