What a ridiculous downgrade. Not only are these forums ugly, they are much less functional. You can't click a Bioware tag on a tagged thread to see only the OP and Bioware replies, you can't search for posts by poster, see a list of your own posts, or search using any kind of advanced parameters at all. It's ridiculous.
Why is the forum software so lackluster compared to the old Bioware forums?

Actually, it is easier to see your own posts than it was in the old forums, which were several years overdue for either replacement or total overhaul, they were so obsolete. I agree that the Search is hardly functional, but that was also very frequently true for the old forums' search feature. I also agree that the new version is homely as home made sin in both layout and color scheme.
I really think it was a mistake to have attempted the switch using a popular game such as Dragon Age, and would have chosen something in poor favor with the overall gaming public, such as Mass Effect (the PC version, at least, seems very unpopular. probably because of the Rootkit type DRM), or NWN2, as the test game. They did reinstate the old DA:O forums for two weeks longer, and now they are gone again. Almost certainly for good, this time.

My eyes hurt from just coming to this 'social site' for a few moments. This forced migration means that I'll be moving to the Dragon Age Nexus. Look at the Nexus poll...out of ~400 respondants, roughly 95% are using that site instead of this POS.

Past experience with Nexus' main site is that the site is very unstable, and is frequently offline. Whether or not that is likely to affect the forums there remains to be seen. You may wish to check the Game Banshee forums.
