Don't know why everyone is saying that this was rushed. The development period was comparable to ME2's, and ME2 didn't have a fraction of the repetitiveness or lack of depth.

The simple reason that this game sucks is because BioWare/EA judged that they could cut corners all over the place and still have a big audience who'd pay full price for their games. They misjudged how many corners they could cut before you people would care. They attempted to shill you then fell flat on their face doing it. Don't feel sorry for them.

That is what I read in to it, because of some of the interviews of certain dev's and CEO. They gambled with DA2 to "gain" more customers than to loose them. Now the only question of intrest for EA/BW will be: "Did It Paid Off?"

Just understand that they where on a budget and a deadline. This game should have a blank check. Two years was just to short a time. If they spent another year or two this game could have been amazing. I'm just sad because I expect sooooo much better from Bioware because they have always been better than this.

I do not feel sorry for them!  If bad things happen then that is what they get for tricking people with a bad game but I would like to know what you say "Did it pay off?" because I bet it didnt because people are maybe not all as unlucky as me to buy the game without thinking first so I bet no it didnt because I wont buy anymore of the Bioware games unless I know they are good first because games cost a lot of money now so its smart to do homework first before you buy but I didnt so thats my fault but never again I say!  Never again! :wizard:

Feel sorry for BIO? nah. Their owners are multi millionaires and no matter how much whiners whine they will still be super rich.

And, I enjoyed DA2 which is wayyyyyyyyyyyy better than the overrated KOTOR so I win too.

Losers who hate DA2 and love KOTOR? HA! I laugh at them.

Nothing more than they deserve. They tried to reach a wider audience but they failed.

Go back to the basics in DA:O and add the few goods things from DA2. They changed to much, and some of the best stuff in DA:O was removed.

This ^ is how I feel about it. So much potential in DA2, and some really good stuff, but too much ditching DAO and what made it great, not fixing what didn't work or was mediocre in it, and making DA2 . So hopefully they will integrate both and make DA3.  We can build it, faster, stronger, better....DA3!

Not at all Posted Image

Everybody is perfectly entitled to express their opinion, be it love, hate, or anywhere in between.

Your posts however, often ignore all logic and reasoning, blatantly attempt to incite arguments, and refuse to acknowledge factual information which Bioware themselves have admitted to.

Shall I keep going, oh mightly official troll?

What you meant to say is that I don't bow down to your 'gretaness' and you hateme for it so you cop out and call me troll for having a different opinion.

OMG! Volourn posts he likes DA2 in the DA2 forum! What a troll!

But the people spamming how much DA2 sucks and people, who like DA2 are just brainwashed morons are not trolls but 'heroes' and 'truth tellers'. LMAO

Can you not see the irony here?

I just stated, literally in the post above yours there, that I have no problem with people who like or dislike Dragon Age 2.

You however, absolutely regardless of whether or not you like Dragon Age 2, post in a troll-like manner.

I couldn't care less if you like the game or not. Trolls are not defined by their opinions on games, but the manner in which they post.

I was just reacting the way the anti DA2 trolls wanted. They cuaght me hook, line, and sinker. I'm a victim not a perpetrator.

I don't they decided that I wasn't part of the audience they wanted yet they still tried to get me to buy it and succeeded and now I am out 60 dollars for a game I would have wait for the bargain bin steam sales.

Volourn:

Don't get me wrong - there are plenty of people angry at Bioware over DA2 who post in a troll-like manner (that is to say, absolutely non-constructive, and deliberately inciting arguments and insulting others and their preferences wherever possible). There are also plenty of people dissapointed by DA2 who are posting here to (hopefully) give Bioware some tips on what they might improve in DA3.

In those scores you can definitely see the difference between game critics (who usually go easy on a game if it's from a big company) and the gamers themselves. This is why ME3 will go from a day 1 purchase to a "I'll wait for the 50% off on Steam GOTY edition" even if it gets 9.0's and above from places like IGN and Gamespot.

"There are also plenty of people dissapointed by DA2 who are posting here to (hopefully) give Bioware some tips on what they might improve in DA3."

I have no beef with these people. Heck, I have criticisms of DA2 as well as shown in my review that do hurt the game and I hope BIO works on/doesn't do again in future games.

My taunts are not directed at them cool dudes who have legit criticisms who don't spam it in multiple threads repeatedly or feel the ened to tell people posting on a particiular games' forum that they are dumb for liking it.

It be like me going to Bethesda forums and bashing their games and their fans over and over again just because I can then crying about ';free speech' when the ban hammer comes down or call a defender of said games a 'troll for defending it.

"If you guys don't now already, volourn is an RPG codex troll. "

No. No, I am not.

Believe me, a true Codex troll would be posting here just to get a raise out of you by stating over the top dumb things about DA2 and DA1. My opinions ar elegit and the same no matter where I post. Sorry, dude, you lost your perception battle on this one.

While I do think Dragon Age 2 has some wonderful elements that definitely need to be incorporated in the Dragon Age 3 the game is flawed.

First, hearing the developers basically trash Origins tends to alienate the fans. Second, assuming every fan wants things 'simplified' was the wrong choice.

Also adding lame filler Fetch and Delivery quests diminishes the immersion of the game and they are insulting to the fans.
Exploding bodies also diminishes the game as well as recycling the same maps over and over.

While I do feel sorry for them, I also resent the assumption that I am not smart and want everything simplified.

Hopefully they will learn from this and DA:3 will end up being the best of both games.

Theres a huge difference between them and what they were in Origins.

I happened to enjoy the Irregular quests...sorry if you didn't.

If they are going to add side quests....they need to MAKE THEM MATTER!!

I resent developers assuming that I will blindly accept everything.
