[biotic prodigy]

I was just wondering, I you had free reign to either create a new character / archetype or bring back a non-squaddie character from ME1 or ME2, what / who would you go for as a new squadmate?

EDIT: sorry- excluding squaddies from ME1, cos lets face it who doesnt want wrex back

Of course, my first choice would be Kal'Reegar.

But if I were to make one...

(And I'm stealing an idea from Ascension and rolling with it)

A female human, who works for Cerberus. She's spying on the Quarian Fleet, and is living there day by day in an enviro-suit. Unbeknownst completely by other Quarians, she passes on intel about the Fleet to the Illusive Man. It would be interesting, to say the least, about that character. Taking her off the Fleet would be an interesting time. Create some tension with Tali, too

Edit: Also, I like the idea of a Collector that wasn't killed off in the base explosion/purge, as well... Having lost the indoctrination of Harbinger, who knows what could come to him/her? I know collectors are no longer think for themselves kinds of people, but that would be an interesting kind of thing to have on the team. Perhaps they know some Reaper technology... Like a weak point, perhaps?

Then again, with the Heretics rewritten, we may now know a weak point anyway.

I dont know, why but ive allways thought it would be fun to have a cloaking asari huntress with shtgun, sniper rifle and tech skills (plus the obligatory asari mind-pulp power)

Or a batarian with tech sheilds, a big gun and a bad attitude

Legion or another Geth platform to return, Legion was very interesting and I want to know more about the Geths desire to upload into a superstructure and essentially become a "reaper".

An actual Prothean, before the genetic modifications and enslavement by the Reapers that turned them into collectors.

My ideal Mass Effect 3 squadmate? A Batarian Infiltrator called Clive (lol) who invested all his money in a Batarian company called Bataria- a company aiming to colonise an uncharted world in the Skyllian Verge. Despite being a former soldier who had served his people well, Clive was oppressed by the Batarian caste system, and so Clive hoped to get his partner and young daughter a better life on a colony away from the homeplanet, so he sold his house and purchased a ship, ready to be one of the first settlers when the Bataria company would found colonies in the coming month. However the worlds that Bataria were preparing to colonise were suddenly seized by a newcomer to the galactic community- humanity.

Before Clive knew it, Bataria was bankrupt, and he had no credits or a proper home. But, a dodgy character called Elanos Haliat was a former investor in Bataria and he had heard about Clive's story. Haliat offered to provide a few thousand credits to Clive in order to feed his family for a few years on the conditions that he would not sell his ship and would offer Haliat his aid in a secret operation within a few years. Clive thought nothing of it and accepted the credits.

Life was hard in the years that followed, but Clive and his family survived... barely. However within some years Haliat got back to Clive. He had raised an army to sack the human city of Elysium and Clive was to provide himself and his ship unconditionally to serve the cause. Clive was uneasy about aiding in the sack of an entire city, but he had no choice. Not wanting to leave his family behind to be abused, Clive brought them with him as he knew that the mission would be a cakewalk- Elysium had few defences so his family should be safe so long as they stayed on the ship. But, disaster struck- the humans defending Elysium held out on the ground buying time for the Alliance reinforcements to arrive. Distraught, Clive watched on the ground as the Batarian fleet was destroyed- his family perishing on his ship. From that day forward, Clive resorted to living as a pirate, constantly a thorn in the side of his nemesis the Alliance.

When his entire race is indoctrinated by the reapers, Clive returns to his homeplanet planning on ending his life in an honourable suicide attack on the reapers. But Shepard arrives just in time, and despite his hatred of the Alliance Clive joins Shepard so that he can fight the Reapers, and thus he gains a purpose. Congratulations for reading that wall of text.

On a serious note, I think a Batarian squadmate is appropriate. Probably Soldier/Tech class, and sort of a problematic character, like Jack.

Some non-combat squadmates of other specias would be cool, too! How about a volus representativ of the Shadow Broker on your ship, providing easlily available intel?! How about having Barla Von on a post on Normandy III? 

How about the comedic element of fat Jahg lead-engineer speaking like Jappa? 

And last, but not least, can we have a Hanar on our fish-tank in ME3?
