Well I'm done with all the quests in Act 1 and I have 48 gold.  This is a issue.  I was a little to nice at the start and didn't ask for money all the time.  Short of getting the loan from the dwarf do I have any options?  Is there anywhere at emenies will respawn and drop coin?  I guess if I stripped all my best equipment I could get the last 2 gold but is it worth it?

Strange, I usually head into the Deep Roads with at least 80+ gold. Granted, I typically select options that result in paying me more, but even if you take those out you should still have 70+. Do you have all of the unlockable items or are you spending a lot on weapons and armor?

I never ask money from people like Macha and Fenris or anyone who has to option to be extorted and I always end up with almost 90 gold before the Deep Roads. Granted I never have to buy anything because I have a ****load of DLC gear that sets me up till about the middle of Act 2.

Try doing some side quests if you didn't do any, and also try kill the bands at night, and once you kill their leader go to the Hanged Man at night at the 2nd floor and a woman will give you gold for killing them.

Every time I ran through the Wounded Coast, Tal Vashoth would spawn at certain locations. It seemed every time I went back, they were there.

I say take the deal with the dwarf. I ended up in pretty much the exact same position in my current playthrough (my spending got away from me methinks ), so I took the deal. There are consequences, but they are quite minor - and in fact, I will not bother paying myself in any following playthroughs either, even if I had the money. Much better use for the money than to give it to Bertrand.

Thnak for all you help. You right I did see the quest at the Hangedman. I'll go follow up on that one.
