 Is there any
thread for this topic yet?:? *can't find any*
Well. I just recently discovered that the glitch
is serious enough. Basically you could own infinite ability points for just
saving and reloading.<_<

To make things worse,
based on this article http://dragonage.wik...ki/Maker's_Sigh
they say that it give a negative points on passive abilities such as -25%
critical instead of +25%. :o

What I want to ask regarding to negative passive points
glitch, is this glitch only occur when you try to cheat by ‘saving’ and ‘reloading’
or this glitch will occur anytime via whenever you respect your character?

:huh::huh::huh::huh::huh:

The glitch only occurs if you save then reload. Simply using the potion then spending the points, as long as you select all the passives you had before, will not hinder you in any way. I'll post what I said a few days ago in another topic pertaining to this glitch:

The glitch only happens if you save then reload immediately after respeccing as that's also how you get the free talents. Sadly, I experimented with this while having the Pyromancer passive upgrade on my mage and it dropped my fire damage by 25% every time. I did it about 6 times and it got to the point that my fire attacks would do nothing against enemies on casual......

So this glitch (passive bonus glitch) occurs even if you use a makers sigh "without" using it for free ability points? WoW I never knew this. That is almost worse that the Isabella/Seb glitch. I think after I finish this playthrough I just going to trade this game in, and tell everybody on my ps3/xbox list not to purchase it. Since I have people asking me if its worth it.

No, the glitch won't occur as long as the extra talents that appear aren't passive. Simply respeccing and having the talents redispersed won't do anything. I know because I respecced my Rogue at least 6 times when I used him and not once did I suffer a reduction in critical damage from the Shadow tree.

So if I use the Maker's Sigh correctly *as it suppose to be*
it won't do any harm on the passive right?

Also, the talents you receive when saving and reloading are somehow tied to the talents you last chose upon leveling up to your bottom-most save of your saved games list. I noticed that I when I received pyromancer everytime, it was the talent I had chosen last from my bottom save near the beginning of the game.

I decided to do further testing with this and used the xp glitch to level my character 3 more times. Sure enough, I received pyromancer alongside Winter's Grasp, its upgrade, and an extra specialization point alongside the first spell in the Force mage tree. Some people will tell you that what talent you receive is tied to what you place in your tactics, but this is not true.

You also have to remember that the game autosaves and holds up to three of them so you can still receive extra talents even if you delete all but your autosaves. There is another way to circumvent the glitch and not receive any talents at all somehow by removing all usuable items, eg potions and poisons, but I'm not sure exactly how it works. I just take extreme caution when respeccing now.

This really had me tripping since I wanted to exploit the game to gain extra talent points. Unfortunately, my second mage ended up so gimped with fire damage I was disheartened and trashed him, starting a 2H warrior instead. I don't regret this decision in the slightest now since 2H Warriors are the ****.

So as long as the "free" talents you received for exploiting this bug are activated abilities, you're okay? If they were passives or sustained then those "free" talents would be bugged?

Me - The salt on the kitchen counter
GF - How man times do I have to "Count Her" before I see the salt on top of her?
Me - Leave my daughter alone woman!
GF - So let me get this right...you want the salt on the counter in the kitchen?

As long as they're not passive, you're in the clear. Sustainables are perfectly safe as well. This is just a baffling bug though. Definitely one of the most confusing I've heard of in a game.

I think I have some good insight on this: The Bug is caused when you 1. use a maker's sigh pot 2. save without respeccing 3. reload save and you should have some extra abilities.

Only Passives have the weird negative glitch because the game only awards the passive abilities directly as you purchase them, but since you got them for free, you don't actually get their abilities but they are still removed when you respec. (Also I'm pretty sure that this only happens to abilities like +25 health, +10 Con not to direct abilities like +1m radius to your 2h attacks)

Hope this helps :D
