Saren is easy to beat with a sentinel. Two biotics with lift can completely shut him down. He'll spend the whole fight hovering in the air waiting to be shot apart. Please note this in mecha Saren, not the I have a hover glider Saren.

Ha thanks. I remember that from previous playthroughs.
So after convincing Saren to shoot himself in the head *by using the hidden option of showing a Justin Beiber poster* We kick his ass epicly and we get 50g for my trouble AND a gamer Picture! ^_^
Thanks for everyone who helped me through the first Mass Effect, now lets continue out adventure in the second? ;3

Rock on! Just did this myself... as an adept :) Locked down Saren with lift. Had shep, wrex, and liara...

Also found that after a lift a singularity would work, too. Or after a throw. May have been a kludge, but the final fight was a cakewalk... almost a disappointment.

So, what are you going with in ME2, Sentinel?

Throw never seemed to work for me on the fight. The only time It would is if I could predict where Saren was gonna jump to (wall or ceiling wise) and throw it down before he moves again, otherwise he'd either avoid it because my lock-on was glitched so it wouldn't lock on properly or I failed to predict. Still easy in the end though XD.

Yep already got Garrus and on the final strech for Mordin at the moment but I got work in a bit so I'm stopping here till tonight. Tech Armour is the ultimate defense XD which me likey :)

Still unsure if I was to use the Mattock or Vindicator. I checked the stats on the wikia and the Vindicator has more ammo to it than the Mattock, and the Vindicator also has a 25% against anything while the Mattock has a 30% against armour and 20% against everything else, and then I got the geth pulse rifle as well but that's only 15% for armour but a huge 35% for shields and barriers.

I'd kill for a Collector Assault Rifle though XD

I'd stick with the Mattock or vindicator, if you're planning on playing a sentinel you already have a pretty good way to deal with shields (overload) barrier and armor (warp). The collector assault rifle just doesn't really compete with the mattock and vindicator.

A good option for a sentinel in ME2 is shotgun+assault armor. You activate assault armor and let the pulse stun your opponents and finish them off with the shotgun.

Oh yeah I know about the shotgun and armour combo. But I'm not an in your face type of person. More of the defensive/support/healer type person (I can't do thing number 3 XDD). Yeah I'm werid :3.

and the main reason I'd go Collector is the Full auto-ness of the gun, as the Vindicator and Mattock is semi auto.
Thanks for the input though ^_^

In that case grab the locust from the Kasumi DLC.  It covers pretty much the same territory and won't cost you your weapon choice.

One of the great things about the Matlock is not only the incredible accuracy but the amount of ammo you get per clip pick up is pretty hefty, making it a very good value to have. If you are worried about ammo with it, just bring along the Locust and then you have major AR and minor AR backup. Personally I like taking the Tempest with AR specs but that is just me, and I am getting more and more in your face playing by the game, as in even my Infils, Enginy, and Adepts are all taking SGs now.

I have the collector AR and other than putting it on Zaeed and Grunt (BEFORE I got the Matlock for them), to use in getting the Vindicator, I never used it. To me the Collector is just totally meh, the Geth AR has a selling point of great against shields for AR adepts, but even then I rolled with Vindicator before getting the Matlock.

So don't court the jail time and realize the Collector looks cool, but isn't all that.

Hmm awhile back like last night I realised I loved burst fire weapons after placing a bit of Halo 3 last night and then after playing some other games lt just seemed to fit how I liked to play so I'll proabably be using the Vindicator and Tempest ^_^

update:

Figured I'd Update you guys on how my playthrough is going since you all helped me XD
Working on the Collector Base and got the AR spec. But I...can't use the Vindicator for anything XD, It may be I just need to get to grips with the weapon but I may switch it up to see which weapon feels better for me.

Most likely use the Locust as the poor man's AR as well but I'm enjoying the tempest alot more than I did when I was using the Locust XD

EDIT: Went with the Mattock in the end. The Ammo count is something I can avoid relativly easily with my Sentinel and the tech armour and it just feels more to how I like to play with my assault rifles XD
Guess the single shot weapons are more my style it seems XD
Keeping the Tempest as a back-up weapon for CQC and I got the DLC heavy pistol for a REALLY poor man's long range weapon XD

Final Update:
The final end run was long and hard, but thanks to all of you guys and your suggestions it wasn't that difficult. The only time I had difficulty was with the Human Reaper at the end as I forgot to get the Cain researched and to actually equip the weapon. I had to switch out my Tempest for the Locust to focus on the Collectors and Harbinger while I pumped the weak spots full of Mattock lead.

Alas Mordin Solus gave his life for the mission (despite him being loyal...) he will not be forgotten T_T

Onto the DLC stuff now! :D
