And I'm talking about the end where Varric finishes up telling the story and onwards from there.

You see I didn't import my save from Origins (Dunno why to be honest) so I was wondering, at the part where Leliana comes on scene and they're talking about how Hawke vanished just like the Grey warden from origins, what happens if your warden from origins died killing the arch demon?

I know it's just a small thing, maybe they just don't mention the warden and just talk about Hawke dissapearing and what not but it's nagging me. So anyone who imported a save from origins where your warden died, does it change the ending at all, or even the game ('cuz I know there are parts where people talk about the warden and stuff)?

If your Warden died you get the same ending (and dialog throughout) as the default ending you pick in the beginning where the Warden dies.

Also, bear in mind that if your Warden died fighting the Archdemon, then for the events of Awakening (and Golems of Amgarak and Witch Hunt) a new Warden comes over from Orlais. This is the Warden that is referenced as a former friend of Anders, or a former companion of Nathaniel, or "gone missing" by Leliana.

On my next playthrough, I intend to listen very carefully to the dialogue, and how often they refer to "The Hero Of Ferelden" (which would be your Origins Warden) or "The Warden" (which would be either the Orlesian Warden, or your own Warden if he/she survived the fight with the Archdemon). I'm curious about how that played out.

For example, saying that the Hero of Ferelden killed the Architect would be incorrect on a save in which you make the ultimate sacrifice. It should be "The Warden Commander killed the Architect". I suspect that they covered their butts on this one, and used the second line. It would make sense no matter which way your import went.

Which doesn't answer the OP's question at all.  :P

Haha.  I guess you're right.  I just assumed the OP played the default Martyr backstory as well.  Wasn't thinking really.

Okay, but what if your warden died and he killed Leliana during the Urn of Sacred Ashes quest? Eh? I bet they overlook that.

Nope; then Leliana is alive because... erm... a wizard did it!
Yeah, if you killed Leliana at the urn shrine, then you either just have to accept that the ashes somehow revived her, or something. Or just take the slap in the face from BioWare like man and deal with the fact that that didn't happen.

Lol nah I went for the first pre-set thingy where everything was rainbows and unicorns and the end. I'm tempted to play through Origins, kill Leliana (which a guy said in a post above you could do) kill the warden, make Loghain king to see if he shows up [SPOILER] like Alistair did and whatever else I can think of that would make an impact on DA2.

Yes they still say it but david Gaider said that they simply meant that they were out of the Seeker's reach. Being dead is certainly that.

Personally, I hope they are related.
