Hi, this is my 2nd(real) playthrough of Dragon Age and i was going to create a DPS Dalish Rogue Archer. I was wondering if you guys had any helpful hints on how to set him up for max damage. any gear starting talents etc... will be incredibly helpful. Thank You!

I think you'd better ask your question in the "Characters, classes and Builds" board. (But don't let the "powergamers" over there discourage you with their spreadsheets and calculations! In the end, the game is more forgiving than they might have you believe...)
This board here is more about the appearance...
Generally, double weapons and archery go well together, since their talents are both solely dexterity based, unlike sword/shield (strength and dex) and two-handed (strength), so you don't need to split your talent points between DEX and STR. However, archery, IMO, starts to get good only in the higher levels, (after about lvl 12(?)) with the high-tier talents...
And don't forget poison-making. You can throw up to five different grenades in rapid succession, since they all have their own cooldowns, thus decimating large crowds within seconds. (But beware that they draw lots of aggression, so you better RUN afterwards if you don't manage to kill them all...)
