theres no actual "SecuROM" installed on your computer so theres really nothing to be worried about. if you want to remove the residual registry key from the date check, you must run regedit.exe with adminstrator rights. easiest way to do that in vista or windows 7 is to type regedit in the start menu search then right click on the regedit.exe icon when it comes up and select run as administrator

The date check is secuROM, since i never had anything using secuROM but Dragon Age II
Running regedit as administrator doesn't work, secuROM isn't an easy **** to remove from the registry

From this thread, not sure if it helps

The instructions as as follow
If you want to completely remove SecuROM after uninstalling this game, including the 'SecuROM User Access' Service it installs in Windows, follow these steps:
1. Uninstall the game as normal.
2. Manually delete the game directory (typically \\Program Files\\Atari\\Crashday-demo\\
3. Go to Start>Run and type "Services.msc" (without quotes) and press Enter.
4. Go to the 'Securom User Access' Service, double click on it, click Stop and then set it to Disabled.
5. Go to \\Windows\\System32\\ directory and delete the UAService7.exe file.
6. Go to Start>Run and type "sc delete useraccess7" (without quotes) and press Enter.
Note: This Service may be recreated by one of your other SecuROM games, in which case you will have to keep it running to play them.
The following steps are very risky and only for people who are certain none of their currently installed games use or need SecuROM:
7. Go to \\Documents and Settings\\All Users\\Application Data\\ and delete the SecuROM sub-directory.
8. Go to Start>Run and type "Regedit" (without quotes) and press Enter. Then find the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\SecuROM] key and delete it if possible.

sorry but this is very naiive. registry keys are registry keys. I can delete them just fine. make sure you are right clicking on the thing that looks like a folder in the left pane to delete them. deleting (Default) does not do anything.
DA2 installing a rootkit was already disproven. do your research - dont be a sheep.

My search shown that SecuROM is a rootkit, and Dragon Age II do install SecuROM to check the release date.
I can't delete the key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\SecuROM\\License information
The two other keys are deleted

SecuROM is a rootkit, yes, but the SecuROM-based software that comes with Dragon Age II is not.

are you right-clicking on the \\SecuROM\\ key (looks like a folder) itself on the left pane and selecting Delete?

Maybe, but i don't trust Bioware anymore, they were telling they're not using SecuROM
I don't want it, even if this version isn't a rootkit, and want it completly removed, i bought the game, i want to play it, without the drms, i usualy don't buy game with such drms (Yeah, i don't use steam too, and have the Sierra's Half life !)

If you cannot delete a registry key due to insufficient rights, you can try the following:
Right click on that key, Choose 'Permissions', Choose 'Advanced', Check the 'Effective Permissions' tab by entering your current username after clicking the 'Select' button. If that account *does* have 'Full Control' or 'Delete' permissions, you should be able to delete it, goto Idea #2. If your account doesn't have those permissions go to Idea #1.
Idea #1: Take ownership of that registry key. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310426 (Section 'Changing Ownership of a Registry Key'). You would want to choose your current user account as the new owner..
Idea #2: You sometimes still cannot delete registry keys even if you have the required permissions because the key has some special characters embedded in it's name the registry editor cannot handle. Check http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310516 (Section 'Deleting Registry Keys and Values') on how to work around such a problem should it exist.
As always be extremely carefull when manually editing the registry - you can permanently brick your windows if you do something wrong

Managed to delete the last key with Sony's SecuROM removal tool
Thanks TheDoctorMk2 for your search, even if i didn't used them
I'll leave a link to the SecuROM removal tool from Sony in case someone need it, it works perfectly with the SecuROM version used in Dragon Age II
