IIRC it's companion quest related. Follow Merrills quest line. It'll turn up.

edit:  You guys are right Aerwigean Scrolls Quest line.  It'll turn up there.

This one doesn't reap the achievement. I think it's the one at the end of the Arwegian scrolls but I could never find the second one...

There's one along the Wounded Coast and two up on Sundermount.

It's the scrolls one, Hybris I believe he is called. Pretty tough on NM but nothing your group can't handle at that level really. As for the scrolls the 2nd one you can easily miss, since its located behind a small wall, as you go up the mountain path to the top.

this helped for anyone trying to get it... fought the first battle and got the second scroll... easy battle on NM so far

He was tough (on Hard). Got swamped by adds the first time I did it. It also didn't help that I had Isabela's friendship bug and was swinging about five times more slowly than I should have been.

i didn't get all that many adds when i faced him... maybe i just killed him quick enough

I'm playing on Hard, at lvl 20, and am finding Hybris really tough to beat, I'm a rogue and have Fenris, Aveline and Merrill with me. I've left him for now, plus th Dragon at the Bone Pit, as I just can't do either of them.

Fought him on Nightmare and I found him to be somewhat difficult, though this may be due to my self imposed rule of no one in the party being allowed to die.

Don't you just hate people who pointlessly boast? My own self-imposed limitation is to not spend any money on upgrades, in order to reach the 100 gold level on Hard - after buying a few bits n bobs up to half-way through Act 2.
