Anyone else had a huge crush on Cullen?

I think it makes total sense for him to join your party in the next game. Anders is gone and Hawke will need a hunky man beast who knows how to handle mages and the Chantry.
You're not alone. I literally swoon each time I see him.
Aaaaaand Templars don't take chastity vows. Remember Wesley? -- Aveline's Wesley?

Cullen for DA3.

Cullen certainly never mentioned such in DA:O with a female mage origin, only that, you know, you're a mage and all.
Anyway he seems to have evolved over time into a well rounded character, he could certainly take his place as a character and the group's tank in DA3.

I might sound crazy but I needed to get this off of my chest: I just loved, loved, loved Cullen. Even though he had a pretty small role in both games, his character still showed so much growth. He went from a shy blabbering mess who literally sprinted away from you rather than talk to you, because he secretly had a crush on you, to a fanatical mage-hater, to a Knight-Captain who had conviction and, later, also the courage to stand by his re-discovered principles. In the end when he said to Meredith: "Yes, [I WILL take responsibility], because that's what I believe being a Templar is all about." and then when he drew his sword and pointed it at her (no dirty jokes please I've already thought of them all)...SOOOOO hot.
I suspect those who played a female human mage in Origins would especially love him. I have to say that my heart kind of melted when I went back to the Circle Tower in Origins and found him muttering about how the demons knew just how to torture him, because apparently he had never stopped thinking about you and now think you're a hallucination. And then in DA2 when he tells you: "I knew an Amell once..." That is just so, so sweet!!! The new Viscountess and the new Knight-Commander of Kirkwall = perfect together! Do Templars take chastity vows? I forget...
You are not alone, I wished he was somehow romancable in both. My fem. mage tried her darnest in DAO. I loved to see him so established. He was also so much more handsome. I hope he comes back!!

This. If you can flirt with Zevran, Aveline and Varric, you should be able to flirt with Cullen.Isaantia wrote...
Gah! why can't Hawke totally inappropriate flirty lines with him?
I also liked him a lot in DA2, but I do not want him back. I remember what happened last time a charming blond voiced by Greg Ellis had his role expanded. No thank you. I'll just have a headcanon where my Amell mage visited Kirkwall and those two crazy kids finally got together.

Given what Bioware did to Anders, perhaps we don't want them to bring Cullen back. They will probably have him be possessed by the demon of suspicion and run amok killing animals and children.

And even Emeric was pretty foxy for an older gentleman. Is there a guy word for cougar?
Maybe I just have a thing for Templars (thanks, Alistair) -- but Cullen = love.

Those are your teammates, you can use them as you please. Cullen isn't your property like them.

He did kind redeem himself at the end a little for me, though.

Nope, just kept on thinking to myself: "Why is Anders a templar now?" I seriously don't understand the change in voice actors.
Anders' voice actor always played Cullen.

Okay, but why didn't he play as Anders as well?

Bioware doesn't like have major characters with the same voice actor. I've read this somewhere but I don't remember where unfortunately.
Not a crush, but I was happy seeing him in DA2. I only wish that they would have explained more in depth the change between him in DA2 and at the end of Origins. The DA2 version of him fit better with the ending of him being the Knight-Commander of the Circle Tower but didn't match up as well with him finally snapping.

I never understood why so many people liked Cullen in DAO. He was a pretty minor character.
It's the whole forbidden love thing! Him being a Templar and you a mage (unless you played a female mage in origins, I don't think he would be a very memorable character). And because he said I was the one thing he wanted but could never have.

Hrmm, interesting. My mage playthrough was male so I didn't pick up on that. Thanks.
