Whoa, batarians have some legitimate grievances against humanity. I don't agree with their support of slavery but I don't enjoy killing them.

Our hate for each other isn't going to just go away like that and if possible I'd like to take the first step to ending it.

Next time you see a blink, give him a hug, not a bullet.

What legitimate greivances?  That humanity colonized planets before they did?  That humanity was growing stronger and faster than their "civilzation" which relies on slavery?

Sorry, the batarians are no victims IMO.

Edit: I  do hope to meet additional batarians who are not slavers/terrorists though.  That can't be all they are.

No, seriously, where did you get this information? I mean, it looks pretty legit, and you've been registered long enough that I don't think you're a troll (Probably, anyways)... But where did it come from? Far as I've known, the only source for this news is the Cerberus News Network, and they only have the first one up at this point.

How did you get it? Where'd it come from?

For those interested in how I got this: The game usually downloads about 2-3 weeks of CDN updates at a time, which it stores locally and displays on the proper day. If you change the system date before loading up ME2, you'll see a different day's updates, assuming they've been downloaded. I simply went through the next seven days, took a bunch of screenshots, and transcribed the stories. Anyone with the PC version of ME2 can do the same.

Alliance + Hierarchy vs. Hegemony.. oh yeah, can't wait to see how that turns out.

Thanks for sharing all of these at once, interesting stuff about the relays there.

Holy crap, this is bigger then I thought. The Hanar in religious panic, Batarians harrassing the Alliance and incidents throught Relays. How can the Batarian embassador say that dreadnoughts are for devastating planets like it's a bad thing? They're freaking terrorists, all of them. they're economy is based in slavery and mercenary work. Hipocrites!

Because they're Batarians.  It's not a bad thing when they do it.  Didn't you know that?

Agreed.  Yes if it continue's to be true that the Reapers made the Mass Relays it's really going to mess with hanar Enkindler religion - big time.

Also, if the batarians feel like the humans and turians are ganging up on them it may lead to all out war at the beginning of ME3 - something for Shep to diffuse?

I ****ing hate Batarians. hope we get to dump a few Reapers in their homeworld. That'll teach them.

Shepard: "You spare everyone else and you get the batarians for your so called Ascension"

Harbinger: "Deal"

I wonder if you wouldn't mind posting the screenies? I know I probably sound like I'm calling you out (Which I kinda am, I guess), but this is teh Interwebz after all. A dude can't be too careful with things like this, and I am somewhat fanatical in my love for Mass Effect.

Also: I would do the same thing myself, but I'm playing on the Xbox, so... Yeah, kinda not an option there.

Cheers

LoL.  We're all annoying maybe-useful meaty paste to the Reapers, we're better off not having to fight both the batarians and Reapers. :D

If it's fake it's no big deal - we'll find out in about a day one way or the other.

Ooo, thanks - haven't really been keeping up on CN. Yeah, it sounds like maybe everyone's coming around and starting to believe Shepard (maybe).

Man, you guys are sceptical. It's not hard to trick the game into thinking it's a different day and seeing different CDN entries (once they are downloaded). Just log into the game and fiddle with the date settings on your PC if you're so unsure about all this.

I sure hope they do believe Shepard. My patience in this damn galaxy is running out. If they don't wise up, Im starting with my armies and leaving everyone else to they're fates.

Many thanks, my good man. Now, give me a moment to read up on all of these, and I'll be back with my own fanboyish conjectures.

That was probably unnecessary, Cyanid, the update is in like an hour, right?

I  would asume that means the Alliance is also increasing dreadnought production though perhaps at a pace that doesn't match the Turians.

As of 2185 the turians have 39 dreadnoughts while the Alliance has 8.

That was before the Alliance became part of the Council - or the entire council. Council races all are allowed the same size fleets, except the Turians are allowed more.

Anyway this all seems (except for the Batarian kidnappers) like the Council is very slowly getting the galaxy ready for the Reaper reveal, as well as increasing their fleet sizes.

Awesome.

And you know, I don't think these really count as "spoilers" (at least not for me). I intended to fire up ME2 everyday until next Tuesday just to see these, and, now, because of you, I don't have to.

Wooooooahhhh Nelly... The Fit's really hitting the Shan all of a sudden.

Couple things that were of high interest to me:

Hanar priest equating the "Enkindlers" of the Protheans as "Even more noble beings." Will the Hanar side with the Reapers when they appear? What would an army of Hanar zealots look like? Do they have any means of threatening the other galactic civilizations?

Traffic ground to a halt just from the increased speculation around the Mass Relays: A foreshadowing of a shutdown of the entire Mass Relay network? The Reapers have done it before, might do it again.

Batarian Interest in Mass Relay Research: I haven't been keeping up with the theories on the Batarians, but this seems strange to me. Why would they care about the mass relays? Especially why would the care about the Doc's research? Do they know more about the reapers than they're letting on? Are THEY developing some kind of weapon to fight the bug-gods all on their own? I knew they were going to be a factor in the DLC, but WHY is something I don't know yet.

I would rather not have to deal with the reapers and a batarian reaper in the future (I am sure they won't leave us alone).

Re: Relay Network Shutdown...

I was under impression that the master control for the mass relays was in the Citadel's inner workings. Considering the Citadel is no longer responding to remote commands from the Reapers...

You realize the CDNs are already loaded onto your system and simply update via your system clock right? Of course you did.
