I'm sure you all remember, we stumbled upon a few Grey Wardens, in white badass armor, when we're battling through the city. They also alude to us that there is a threat that's looming over the horizon and wished us luck at the battle of Kirkwall.

Anyone got any speculations of what's to come? Will we see another Blight?

I was thinking about this a while back, and couldnt think of anything. Logically, it must have something to do with the Darkspawn, but we barely see anything to suggest something of that nature.
My guess would be something to do with the Primeval Thiag? We do know that Nathaniel had led a group of Wardens down there to check it out.

Oh? I didn't know that Nathaniel had led a group of Wardens to check it out. What's the purpose of their expedition?

Perhaps the Architect has done something bad again, like awaken another Old God or whatever.

Actually it would appear, judging from Nate's dialougue, that the Architect is allied with the Wardens.

It might be a factor in DA3, which is rumored to take place in Orlais.

I don't think the Grey Wardens are dealing with anything to important. They're only there as a reason to give your sibling(if you made them a Warden) an appearance in act 2.

I guess there could be something important going on since they're around Kirkwall the whole game.

I only noticed them at the final battle. Where else were they spotted?

Anders stole the maps to the Deep Roads from those Wardens. They're the ones who turn your sibling(if they get the blight+Anders in your party during Deep Roads quest) They show up 3 years later during the Qunari attack. And then sibling shows up again 3 years later in the final battle(I assume the other Grey Wardens are close by)

Could all mean nothing and it's just a way to see your sibling throughout the game, or something could be up. The more I think on it a DLC that happens throughout the game dealing with the Grey Wardens(with or without your sibling being one of course) could be pretty cool.

That's where you go in the Deep Roads.  It's where the idol is.

There are numerous things that it could be, from the mundane to the truly earth-shattering. They could simply have been escorting one of their 30-year members down for his last Deep Roads expedition, which would still be the time-sensitive matter the Wardens claimed it was (since no one wants an insane Grey Warden rampaging through a city the Quanari are already attacking). Or it could be a DA3 or DA2 expo tie-in. Or maybe they found a Griffin for the Hero of Ferelden and have to get it to him posthaste.

Griffons tend to like the open air not the Deep Roads

Well, if I recall correctly, it is something important.

Maybe there is a civil war between the Wardens? Maybe there are some who sympathizes Architect's Darkspawns and there are those in Anderfels that want all the Darkspawn killed?

But it's probably another Blight. The Grey Wardens are usually only called in because there's a Darkspawn threat or that the Archdemon has arrived.

No offence, but I hope your wrong.. The accents.. it'd kill me. Plus Tevinter would be way more interesting. we need to bring em down a notch anyway and on a level playing field with the rest of thedas for the coming war

How would you know what Griffons like? THey've been extinct for hundreds of years.

I certainly wouldn't refuse a Griffon if it had to live in the Deep Roads.
