I've noticed more and more that when I summon my Mabari it won't follow after me. It just stays in the spot where I've summoned it.

I've been having this problem across 2 play throughs also. He either stays where he was summoned, or calmly walks back to the entrance of a cave/dungeon area. Try to resummon him, and it doesn't fix it.

Did you name it anything with special characters? I named Dog with a special character and it ended up turning into a "-" and wouldn't follow me anywhere. I quickly loaded a previous autosave and named him differently, and it worked then. Mostly.

I found that Dog will sometimes just not follow you. Try summoning him in the middle of battle and see if he still won't follow you.

No, no special characters. I named him Fluffypants.

And if I summon him in the middle of battle he'll fight, but 3/5 times he won't follow me once the battle is over.

Haha,sometimes my Mabari behaves like this as well. xD
But when a battle is triggered,he just pops outta nowhere and joins the party lol

Lucky. I haven't had him teleport into battle for me. He just stands there in the distance... staring at me.... bloody dog

I also just noticed that, even though I've already named him something else at "home", that sometimes when I summon him his name will be "Dog".
