Related trivia that I find rather amusing: Nicholas Boulton (male Hawke) is Xenon's voice actor.
After about the 30th recording session, full of informational "tell me about this" and "I should go", Nick Boulton was begging us to do something different. Just for one session. "OMG I WILL GO CRAZY" was his threat.
Hence Xenon.
That's awesome! I didn't even know that was him. :DHe did a great job with male Hawke.

That's hilarious. That reminds me of Mark Meer doing the VO for the vorcha at the end of the ME2 sessions. Pfft… iconic heroes are so boring. Outrageous characters with unnatural-sounding voices are much more fun to play.David Gaider wrote...

"Don't manhandle the Urchin--Find your own. he's not for sale" <- Funny line. I guess Xenon likes his little boy. xD

I love this. I cannot wait for the day when we start to get film style 'making of' featurettes and other bonuses that reveal stuff like this with special editions of games, maybe even a commentary track... /wishful thinking.
You would be surprised then about what you can find on youtube. Best one I have found was a pretend group therapy session with the cast of metal gear solid 4. It can get really crazy being in a room full of people that can do so many different voices.

I believe he's referring to "They search the sewers <for the emporium> and accost poor Urchin.. and I tell.. Urchin to say.. no you are not worthy! Starve in the sewers!"

Which makes me wonder, the male hero VAs do so great on side characters.. are they told to be as monotone as possible with the hero?
The females certainly aren't. I don't get it.
Maybe it depends on the answers you pick? My snarky Hawke was hardly monotone or dry. Or maybe it's that pesky personal preference thing creeping up again. :innocent:

He's rather creepy, especially the fact he has an urchin. Hopefully the kid just goes out and does errands for him.
You are far too optimistic, my friend.

I would have never guessed they were one and the same. Wow--he's a good voice actor; that's some serious acting range.

really the greatest ventriloquist in Thedas and it's been him that's
talking all along.
Ok, fine, I made that up, but it'd be so epic if it were true...
