Yes let's rag on one of the genuinely good and progressive things BioWare has done.
Here's a tip. If you don't want a homosexual relationship, just say no! If you're a man and Anders is attracted to you, SO WHAT. Get over it! Say no and that's the end.
If you seriously think that in any way diminishes you, YOU have problems.

While I don't agree with it in any facet and never will, that doesn't mean I'm against you being able to CHOOSE what you'd like to do, regardless of where it will lead you, but having the option so poorly designed, having it blatant and blunt, and allowing for "accidental romances" (no such thing in the offline world) and not even making it a romance so much as a sex-fest or 'get in my bed'... it's pathetic.

It takes really no effort to romance them, and it's almost as bad as "give me lots of gifts and I'll love you".

So, no it isn't progressive, and that's not my opinion because I'm what you opin as a "bigot".

So guys. One serious annoncement now.

DO NOT TALK TO Iamnotahater ANYMORE!!!!

I don´t see how you can fail to see he´s just trolling, besides, the name alone proofs it.

Rule of thumb: NEVER trust anyone with "I am" or "I am not" in the name. They usually are trolls.
The signup date is another hint (even though it wouldn´t qualify as troll without the other stuff).

and @ Mr troll: Read my guide about trollling. At least do it right, for f*cks sake, or even better stop entirely.

Edit: See, look at Aesieru. He isn´t funny either, but at least puts his hate speech in elaborate words and managed to bring religion in it, so even HE is better........ Which is pathethic.

Truthfully I had no idea that Bioware had such an active GTBL. Nor do I have a problem with gays. Heck I even signed up to support the GTBL at IBM (they bribed me with free cupcakes and skittles). What I have a problem with is Bioware forcing a unrealistic and uncomfortable situation upon my character.

Plus I like to play my computer characters as being badass and not have PC statements forced upon me with RPG's.

Oh well I still have the witcher I guess.

So, if anders were seven feet tal... extremely muscular and reffered to everyone as little ****es... it would be okay if he hit on you...  cause like, he's bad assed?

That's not hate speech, your immaturity, ignorance, and desire to see it as such shows that you're looking for a problem, and you just don't agree with anyone who disagrees with your view on it.

No one is better than anyone, despite who we are.

In any case, I'm about ready to report you for harassment and bigotry (against anyone that is actively non-homosexual).

Report? Oh god, that's rather pathetic..please..

this bi-sexuality thing is not funny... it reared it's ugly head even in fantasy games now. it's really disturbing to say the least. the only good thing about the system in DA2 is the fact that you now know which dialog choices to avoid in order to not get caught in it.

Just to get the haters to hate some more... I don't agree with homosexuals, my religion believes it a damnable sin,

Talk about contradicting yourself, mate.

In any case, I'm about ready to report you for harassment and bigotry (against anyone that is actively non-homosexual).

Butthurt much? Do it then. But please explain me how I am being bigot......

Read your own posts... you just took two completely unrelated topics, misinterpreted, and then used them to falsely reinforce you.

Fine then I'll explain, sigh.

First, no one is better than anyone else, that is a foundational tenet of our faith, the second thing is that it is simply a fact that it is a sin.

That doesn't mean "they're better" because they didn't sin, it just means they were forgiven.

That's a "better thing" in the long run, but it doesn't make the person 'better'.

I shouldn't have to explain basic things like this... it's somewhat saddening.

---

In any case, again... read your own posts before you click submit, because you are fast approaching bigotry, harassment, and flaming.

---

It is a forumer's duty to report that which is invioable or a violation.

Then just prove your badassness by telling Anders and Fenris to shut the f*ck up. I heard you can even kill them at some point.

At least with Origins, they gave reasons for the bisexuality...sort of.

Zevran was raised in a brothel, so he was used to that kind of thing. And you get the sense from Leliana that she's just like that.

I'm not against bisexual romances, but I also feel that ANYONE kind of feels closer to their romance knowing they are completely straight if they are straight, and that bisexuals feel closer to their romance knowing that it's you know, one of the four romances or whatever thats bisexual.

I'm all for being progressive, but I feel that with making all of them bisexual, it's kind of a 'cop out' and that they didn't put much effort in this regard.

Leliana used it so as to get close to people in her Bard duties without having to kill them... she made a point of being adamant about that it was better if someone didn't have to die but would still give you what they want.

As more homosexuals get into the gaming industry it'll become even more apparent,  I suggest you just get used to it... it not like you can catch it or anything.

You can argue that the romances themselves are somewhat simplistic, or the dialog is, and may have a point.
But arguing solely from the standpoint that they're bisexual is silly - that in itself is not the problem.

It's also a hypocrisy of the developers now that I think about it...

Apparently "old rpgs" are not worth keeping the fans of because they want to expand and not focus on a smaller market, but at the same time they try to expand to a VERY SMALL market compared to the majority of people?

Which has, obviously, essentially alienated a quantity of people, no matter how many or few, or how silent or adamant they are about this...

I find this to be hypocrisy.

At this point, people are arguing in circles. Quite aside from some of the homophobia rearing its ugly head, there's a lot of ad hominem and strawmanning going on.

Locking this thread. Some warnings and bans going out.

In the future, if you want to discuss this, do so more civilly. On both sides of the fence.

reason for "being bisexual"? which "reason"? there is no reason for being "any-sexual" - only the colourful life itself. and what religion - not respect the colourful life, but respect rules of former centuries.
