That depends, of course, whether you are attracted to boobs and p4ssies as opposed to dongs, or whether you are attracted to someone because of his / her personality.
If the first is true then you are right, it will likely not change (even though one hears from people who, after years of hetero marriage, find out they´d rather have the dongs - I guess sh!t happensB)).
If, however, you care more about the personality, then changes can happen.

That´s true. But if there ARE some, there should be gay ones too.
Besides, as relationships are important for a character, I think they belong into RPGs. The lack of romances was, imo, Awakenings´s biggest step back compared to Origins.

Like could that be the reason why some don't become attracted of same sex even though they can get presents, food, beer, and spend a lot of time together sharing plenty of thougts? But with opposite sex a word or wink or just sight can begin to attract helluva big time?

Maybe. But then explain to me how I, a male person, can spend time with female friends without wanting to bone them just as I can with male friends, while there are other women I DO want to be with?

I DO believe in these "unconscious instincts" stuff (aka pheromones) but apparently they don´t work solely based on gender. At least not for me.

I personally don't see the point in arguing about tiny things like this... If the game was like Origins or Mass Effect 2 or even Mass Effect 1 where only minor things were wrong with it, then things like this would be a good discussion... But DA2 has so many glaring flaws that things like this and the animations, etc, just seem to be unimportant

Indeed.  But that's the point.  The point is that it is unrealistic to have all the romance options in a game switch hit at the drop of an inuendo.  It's not like I can go to any streight female on the street, flirt with her, and OMG, she's a lesbian now!

It's still an intelectually stimulating debate and I would prefer in future games that we get realism over pandering.  If you think it's un-important, you don't have to get involved.

Well I can say it can be very uncomfortable. Luckily not all women have so strong effects, and as I have grown older the effects in general has become more "tolerable".

Sexuality is not something cosmetic like hair colour, it’s supposed to be a part of who a character is. When just about everybody has completely interchangeable sexualities, it gives those characters less depth.

...No. His personality doesn't change. Anders is still Anders. The only thing that changes with Hawke's gender is Anders' sexual orientaion and one small thing about his past. I don't understand this "ALL BI MAKES THEM RUINED AND DEPTHLESS!!111!!" thing.... at all.

Well said. This is part of the reason that the devs of the ME series will always be taken more seriously. Their characters have something called continuity. When a vocal minority cried out for Tali to be gay - the devs took their art seriously and said hell no. That's why they have respect.

The devs of DA2 lost any artistic respect they gained. They have failed on a massive scale.

Finally some people who see some sense in the matter, and don't just want to be able to have sex with every LI in the game!

I hate it when you're straight and all the people who like seeing two guys kiss (how small of a minority is that anyway?) start to bash the hell out of you just cause you're straight.

Too bad it's too late to change this though, cause it's already going to be imported into DA3 so they're gonna have to keep the men and women the same :<.

I just think every character's race should be variable as well. I mean, Merrill was cute and all, but I dig asian chicks. So, if I make an asian character, Merill should be Asian. Also, I think elves are dirty. So, I only want human putytang. So, I think LI should be whatever race your hero is. Miscegenation is kind of creepy. Lol. Can't wait for DA3, where this is implimented.
