Ah DA2 was a mix bag, now thinking back not worth the hype and my preorder. You just felt the rushed job with the reuse of maps and streamlining, with DA3 I will wait for reviews form ppl I trust that have the same taste as I
I just don't like the direction Bioware seam to go now (again streamlining to much of every aspect of game)

Yes. I will probably pre-order it, something I didn't do with DA2.

I decided NOT to pre-order DA2 after I played the demo. Combat was too spastic for my taste and doesn't warrant a full price purchase. Auto attack for consoles is also a major factor for me, I just can't handle pressing A 1,000,000 times becuase way to much AWESOME is generated.

This is the first Bioware game that I didn't purchase day1 in a long time.

I'm too invested in the ME storyline to not pre-order that but I have a sneaking suspicion that ME3 may be the last Bioware game I buy. I really hope they don't shortchange us on the conclusion of Shepard's story.

Hell yes. Both DAO+addons and DA2 are my favorite games and I have no reason to expect anything less awesome in the future. And if you take all best parts of DAO and DA2 and merge them in DA3...
One problem - a new DA game means I'm going to miss on all major game releases for several months. Or buy them to have them sitting on a shelf while evil mage goes on rampage. Yes, that's what I always play in an RPG - evil mage goes ape****. Gender may vary, intentions are always same: set kittens on fire, then pee on them.

No. Even those who actually liked DA2 more than Origins would be wise to do a little research beforehand, because this latest release proves Bioware are now willing to drastically shake things up and scrap mechanics they’ve been honing for years. I don’t want to buy the same game over and over, but there’s a certain air of comfortable predictability which comes with buying sequels. I expected Dragon Age 2 to follow that pattern by taking the elements that made Origins great and polishing them like Baldur’s Gate 2 did with it's predecessor. That didn’t happen, instead it was redesigned from the ground up and to some players it’s almost unrecognizable.

nope, and if they push DLC like they did with DA2 I might get really, really mad.

Nope, most companies take care to make sure their pre-purcahses or special purchase boxes are shiny in some way or have some bonus items, every game I have pre-ordered (Fallout 3, FF13, FF14, Monster Hunter 3 etc..) made sure that the box was well designed, had some bonus items and althought it sounds rather silly, shiny.

The DA2 pre-order was...abysmal, a normal box with a black and white guide, the "bonus" content such as the soundtrack wasn't even provided, it wasn't until I was downloading my ME2 DLC's that I noticed it.

I've never had a problem with how EA publish their games nor have I had a problem ever with Bioware, but this time they both buggered up. I wouldn't even consider "obtaining" DA3, waste of hard disk space.

If BIoware heeds our complaints and sees it as a guideline, I would gadly pre-purchase without even thinking twice. Though I will prepurchase anyways and wait for gameplay vids to decide if I am to cancel it or not.

I loved DA2, but if Bioware turns around and return back to their roots, DA3 would be awesome indeed.

I think that Bioware should just be let alone to do their thing, by both customers and management. Games evolve, and it's a good thing they do. They just must have the passion of people behind it - for it feels like DA2 has none - rushed jigsaw is what I'd call it.

Nope, pre ordered the Sig Edition of DA2 and learned the hard way.

I'm done w/ Mass Effect and Dragon Age now. I loved these games when they had RPG gameplay. Now that both have become linear action Twilight novels, I'm done.

I'm still pre-ordering ME3. I'm gonna wait and see if DA3 actually gets the bugs fixed before even bothering with DA3.

When they had those live gameplay things going and were taking questions from people. I asked time and time again "Did you get all the bugs fixed in the game unlike you did with DA:O" and never got the question answered. I enjoy DA2, but I think they need to get all the bugs worked out before releasing DA3. If DA2 is any indication of what DA3 will be like, I will wait until they have patches out before I get DA3.

I like the story of DA2, I enjoyed the characters, I just hate the bugs.

I have a limited game fund, but I trust a games company, look at the comments and opinions which have FLOODED back at them from DA:2? I am sure they are looking over their ways and what needs improving very well.

My look on life is, you might aswell take a chance, I am going to take a risk and go for a buy for this. I do love Bioware, I have loved their past games with a passion, I still have trust in them. So most likely (Depending on money) yes!

I took a leap of faith with DA2 pre order. I didn't like the sound of the direction they were headed but figured, it's Bioware, they'll get it right.

They got it "right" in terms of they made a Visceral Framed Narrative with limited RPG elements. But that's not what I wanted.

Now I know, a $60 lesson. Don't buy EA games at launch anymore if the developers are talking about how "AWESOME and VISCERAL" it is.

EA said the same stuff about Dante's Inferno ROFL

Highly unlikely. I'm considering canceling my Mass Effect 3 pre-order too.

Every Bioware game is a day 1 purchase for me without exception.

That used to be the case for Squaresoft games in the 90's. Bioware is kind of like the new Squaresoft.

So true.  That's exactly what I was thinking as well.

Squaresoft used to be *The* 'Be all and End all' of RPG developers back in the 90s... And then of course things started unraveling in the 2000s to the point now where I won't even bother purchasing anything developed by that company let alone even reading up on their games in development.  Squaresoft is totally out of my conscious now in terms of quality content.

I hope (and I stress this) that Bioware doesn't follow suit in the same path, but having released this game (perhaps 'farce' is a more apt term) after the string of non-stop hits they had throughout the 2000s kind of makes you wonder if the descent has already started.  Perhaps their purchase by EA should've been a sign I paid heed to

Suffice to say, I'm not looking forward to Dragon Age 3 atm.  And as for Mass Effect 3, I'll wait for the concensus of reviews... rather than paying attention to the early bought-and-paid-for marketing campaigns

I've invested a lot of time into the first two. So yes, I will get it on release. I'm not going to hold one disappointing game against Bioware.

Yeah, I still have faith- I'll buy it! Was DA2 perfect? No. But Bioware is one of the few developers making the type of games I like (single-player, story-driven, with a customizable PC). Too many MMOs and "sandbox" games out there.

I don't pre-order games anyway, but I bought Bioware on faith purchases. I will not buy them on faith anymore, plus it's a better value to wait for the UE/GOTY version of the games.
