Bethesda's forums split separate "toolset" and "mods" forums. Technical questions about the toolset and how to use it go in the toolset forum, and request/release/work-in-progress announcements go in the mod forum. It really cuts the signal-to-noise ratio for people looking for one or the other kind of discussion.

Yes, subforums would be greatly appreciated. Ideally there would be 3 forums: Toolset (general toolset discussion, toolset tutorials, etc.), Mods (mod discussion/anouncement) and Custom Content (tutorials and discussion for player created models and tools).

Yea, I agree, there are way too many threads to keep track of in one forum.

The old Bioware forum set up like in the NWN forums was way, way better. I hope they improve this format as it's really a pain to read.

I don't understand why Bioware shut down the other forums and insist on using this site. It is horrible and they are shotting themselves in the foot by doing so. I have pretty much given up on social site and I am now using http://www.dragonagenexus.com

yea we need wip mods, mods released, toolset forums. like many mod sites do, these forums are too much a jumble of wips releases help etc etc.

I'd prefer Modifications/Modules/Toolset. SP mods should be seperated from new campaigns.

I agree with this, but would add on a "Scripting" section, much like what we already had for NWN which seemed to work. So, that would be:
- Modifications (I guess this would be the same as the Custom Content section for NWN1)
- Modules (much like the Modules Discussion section for NWN1, dealing with new campaigns, and WIP campaigns)
- Toolset (we just leave this forum the way it is)
- Scripting

Indeed, more forums, it helps you find what you're looking for as well.

Anything that splits the Toolset and Mod threads would be awesome. Even just two forums, without any further splitting.

They've been focused on getting the social site's core functionality working. Hopefully soon we'll get some forum splitting. I'm working on it...

And they could fix all the icon graphics on the site while they're at it hehe. Just look at the top where it sais: Forums - English. The chat icon to the left of it probably shouldn't look that way
I'd be ashamed if I released something like that on an official site
