There are far more good 2h weapons in the game than any other type. I do not understand why you get 3 purple 2h in the space of 20 mins, and can buy a few more, but bows are so scarce.
Ultimately, you should choose your weapon based on who you want to kill.
I always side with the mages, so I use JAckal bow, which sadly has no rune slot (mostly because it would cross the line between op and ridiculous if it fired 33% faster).
Too bad there is no spirit damage bow (that I know of ), that would be sick.

yeah, that one really doesn't need a rune slot 
but thanks for the advice... im not a big fan of fire damage and the skills use physical damage so the increased fire damage does nothing for them... although, the thing is beastly vs anyone thats not resistant to fire damage
