I didn't post a malicious link, I posted perfectly safe, virus and trogan free legit publishing site.  its an equivalent of lulu, baen, Tor, penguin, etc - publishers.  then of course I got trolled, with my post being edited in quote, but that's not me posting malicious links, so I'm not the one getting banned for being misquoted.

nonetheless, returning to topics - optional m/m romance will not put off majority female gamers, anymore then it would put off majority of male gamers.  the question is - should that option be added to existing romancablecharacters?  and I say no, unless you don't mind discarding integrity of the narrative.

I do feel that making existing characters bi is inconsistent.

Finally, for the first time in history, I agree with Ramirez. Shepard was not gay in ME1/ME2 and should not be in ME3. Neither Kaidan and he's so called clost case.

I thought the topic was about love interests being bisexual (not gay or straight), not Shepard being gay. Just because they're bi doesn't mean you have to jump them. Tis the wonder of choice. If you come across a bisexual person in real life, do you feel inclined to woo them? 

I think this topic is more to do with people not wanting sexuality waved in their face than about choice. >.>

I've met bisexual people. Non of them have been my type. Actually, most of us havein our friend lisgt a popular forumite in the forums who is female and is bisexual.

Good to see that Christians are retaining their reputation for trying their hardest not to be like Jesus. Jesus would've tried to convert people but if they refused he'd let them on their way, Christians can't stop talking about what should and shouldn't be by shoving it down people's throats.

Exactly my point. Just because a character is bisexual does not mean Shepard has to romance them. I should probably have used the same sex example in my question rather than bisexual as it highlights my point more clearly. I'm sure you know what I mean though.

Nobody said the only way is to make Garrus bi, just that we have real bi options rather than genderless female looking aliens.

Exactly. I've been hit on quite a number of times by men and the advances are unwelcome but it doesn't stop me leaving my home. I also don't want to be hit on in-game by male characters but it doesn't stop me playing the game. I have a choice whether to pursue the relationship or not.

Yeah it's not the end of the world.  It happened to me, I find it more funny than anything.  My friends were standing right by at the bar when it happened.  I didn't know what to think when it happened.

Seriously, people need to lighten up some people are gay. If there was a new character in ME3 that hits on male shepard all I ask is that there be an option for a hilarious response to turn the guy down.
As for turning current characters bi, I say no.  Just introduce new LIs that are bi.

I think the general consensus is... that we should leave existing characters alone if any changes seem out of character (of course, OOCness can be debated too) and that future variation in romance options would be a plus. There, debate over? Great.
