The second a male character hits up on my male Shepard I'm turining the game off and never launching it again.

This made me LOL.  If a man hit on you in real life would you go home and never go outside ever again?

This makes me lol. If a man hits on me I generally do stuff to make him look like and feel like jackass.

Exactly. I've been hit on quite a number of times by men and the advances are unwelcome but it doesn't stop me leaving my home. I also don't want to be hit on in-game by male characters but it doesn't stop me playing the game. I have a choice whether to pursue the relationship or not.

Yeah it's not the end of the world.  It happened to me, I find it more funny than anything.  My friends were standing right by at the bar when it happened.  I didn't know what to think when it happened.

"can I buy you a drink?"
"what? why?"
"because you're cute."
...blank stare... "Nah, I'm ok, but you have a good night."
My buddies were in stitches when the guy called me "cute"

Seriously, people need to lighten up some people are gay. If there was a new character in ME3 that hits on male shepard all I ask is that there be an option for a hilarious response to turn the guy down.
As for turning current characters bi, I say no.  Just introduce new LIs that are bi.

Well, I'm female so it tends to happen a little more often for me. Guys hitting on me, I mean. Not that it particularly bothers me. I turn them down and that's usually it.

It's nice that you take it so well though. Quite refreshing actually. :3

I think the general consensus is... that we should leave existing characters alone if any changes seem out of character (of course, OOCness can be debated too) and that future variation in romance options would be a plus. There, debate over? Great. :D

You know it will not be the end of it.

Shhh, you'll wake the trolls. ;)

The problem is there are no friends. It's either you romance a Garrus or he's always busy with calibrations. There needs to be a clear friend path. Opening up the romance only makes it worse, if i got him flirting with me, i'm out. I just want a bro. Jack disappointed me too, the only way shep can get through to her is if he sleep's with her. People can have relationships without sex.

You're right. There is a bit of a gap there. However, I think LotSB goes a long way to helping that. If you haven't romanced Liara you still get a touching friendship scene with her. :3

The odd thing is that we accept femshep licking a rather odd looking creature with mandibles and an exoskeleton who's bodily fluids are poisonous to her but we'd get twisted up into knots if maleshep were to try it.

Sex really brings out the wierdness in us.

Finally, for the first time in history, I agree with Ramirez. Shepard was not gay in ME1/ME2 and should not be in ME3. Neither Kaidan and he's so called clost case.

I thought the topic was about love interests being bisexual (not gay or straight), not Shepard being gay. Just because they're bi doesn't mean you have to jump them. Tis the wonder of choice. If you come across a bisexual person in real life, do you feel inclined to woo them?

I think this topic is more to do with people not wanting sexuality waved in their face than about choice. >.>

I agree.  I have a male and a female Shepard who didn't have a romance at all.  It could be the reason was he was gay but Kaidan isn't and no one else was interesting to him,  and she wasn't interested in aliens.  I'd be quite happy to have a male bi-sexual or gay in ME3 - as long as it's a new character.

If Garrus was gay from the beginning, I wouldn't have a problem with it. It's changing things I have a problem with.

Oh, I more-or-less agree with you in principal.

Although, Garrus had no interest in Shep in ME1 (understandable because we probably look like freaky slugs to him) but then suddenly decides that he's ok with doing a freaky slug. And Femshep decides that having sex with a poisonous hard-shelled avian like creature is just fine because the strange looking thing has a sexy voice.

People are just wierd. Sorry, we are.

Garrus is such a bro, "I had reach, she had flexibility" "I always love to savour the last round before popping the heat sink"  hilarious bro talk.
So true about Jack.  I didn't want to romance her, I just wanted to reach out to her.

Yeah, the sudden end end to a lot of relationships because no sex was involved was sad.

No one will be forcing Male Shep to jump any bones or have Fem shep make out with any women, so if you don't want Bisexual romances, don't romance them. Is that too hard to understand?

I believe the problem is that it would be a large retcon to change any characters in such a way.

EDIT: Adding characters like that wouldnt be a problem, but changing the ones now would.

I do not see how it would be a retcon if people realized they were shepard-sexual, I don't feel that Tali or Garrus becoming LIs in ME2 was a retcon because it simply took time for them to work out their emotions about Shep or some goodness like that. If Mordin suddenly wanted your vertigo stick, I would be weirded simply because Salarians don't have that kind of Sex drive (unless you are an Asari, but it seems that everyone is hot for the Asari). I have to ask though, would Samara being an LI for both Female and Male Shep be acceptable? Since Asari all seem to be bisexual and you can come onto her with either gender.

Someone thought that the giant glued together statue of rotten cheetos was somehow sexy, I'd much rather the poisonous hard shelled avian with a sexy voice than that.

This would be great.  I would love to be friends with any of the characters who have the same outlook as I do, or occasionally be abel to change their view point.   DA:O did this fairly well.  My female warden was friends with Morigan, she even called me sister.  I would have enjoyed talking to Jack and raising her self-esteem without having to be male and romancing her.

To add to the perplexity. In the deleted dialogue clips for the grounds keeper. We are informed Turian women do not have "funny bumps." Apparently, this did not bother Garrus nor does the very probable reality Femshep would kill herself having sex with him bother her.

Case in point, Garrus and Tali were blatant and obvious fanservice.

But then she'd break her code and she refused to do that in ME2, which is taking her OOC somewhat (although it could arguably be explained), which brings it in line with the OOCness of making previously assumed straight characters bisexual. So, why is one okay whilst the other is not?
