But like I said, if Biowaree brought in new characters that were gay or bi, I wouldn't care. I would welcome it. I just want characters being believable and constant, not just being retconned at the last minute.

That's rather hypocritcal though since Tali being romanceable in ME2 is a retcon.  There was no indication of her orientation or feelings toward Shepard in ME1 but then she jumps on the team Shepard boat in ME2.  Why can't the same happen with another established character?

Because people that aren't the OP would benefit from that.  I.E., selfishness.

Because it's ME3, not ME1, or ME2. If you ask me, it's a bit late to add this. Tali was more of a walking codex in ME1. If you ask me, it just seems dumb and read my original post for some more answers and read the rest of the thread.

Hey, if you are just going to be like that, why not leave? Take your hatred of me somewhere else.

This is one of the main things I didn't like about DA2.  Mainly it was Anders all of a sudden turning bi when he made it clear he's highly attracted to women in DAA.
I hope Jacob doesn't ruin our bromance by flirting with my maleshepImage IPB I will toss him out of the airlock or replay the suicide mission and kill him.
Characters should be allowed to care for you.  Its just revolting that it becomes "I want it in the rear kind of caring."Image IPB  When it should be more like we're family, BFF's or bros 4 life.
Bioware should stick to pleasing the main fan base.  girl on girl, straight males, and females.
I liked DA2 but I thought it would've been better if Bioware wasn't trying to please every minor fanbase.

The main character should be allowed to flirt with all LI's but some encounters should be like femshep's encounter with Jack.

LOL you should read some of it, it's actually quite funny.

You find funny making jokes about raping Samara, so I'd rather not.

I was banned already for it. Can we move on from that?<_<

You were making rape jokes? What the hell?

You Talimancers are creeps. Plus, THE WHOLE TALIMANCE WAS A RETCON.

Uh, it was only one joke. They dragged it on for a LONG time.

And yet you also dragged it on along by continually whining that people were offended over that "joke".  You say that this thread is not trolling but you find the things said in here funny and get offended when being called out as homophobic or selfish.  Tali the retcon is OK but Kaidan who was not a walking codex in ME1, then falling for Shepard in ME3 is just dumb.

Yeah, that was a little weird. They changed Anders' voice actor as well. He was so likable in Awakening; I think they wanted to get rid of that a bit this time around.

If I remember correctly YOU were one of those people calling me a "******." Real mature for you. And I find some the things in this thread  funny, now that I look back at it in hindsight.

If Kaidan was bi from the beginning (or even Tali for that matter), I would not care. But doing this this LATE in the game just to please EVERYONE (this really didn't work with DA2), won't make the narrative as good as it could be.

If Tali was interested in Shepard from the beginning, I would not care. But doing this this LATE in the game just to please TALIMANCERS (this really didn't work with ME2), doesn't make the narrative as good as it could be.

Honestly, the same argument applies. That is my main gripe with the Talimance. Unlike the Garrusmance, it doesn't start in ME2; they retcon her being in love with Shepard since ME1.

I've no intention of doing a Kaiden romance (he always gets left at Virmire) and I am straight, before you call me out for that, but even so the EXACT SAME argument applies to your beloved Tali.

Just stop while you're not even lower than you already are.

A person who finds the rape of a woman funny deserves nothing less and shouldn't be surprised when so many get offended over it.

I also beg to differ.  The narrative would be compelling if Kaidan or Tali had held their feelings in for so long and then got into a relationship with Shepard in the closing of the series.

Do you have some kind of agenda here? Because you are not being constructive. Explain to me how it would be "compelling."

The Talimance is a huge retcon....

Personally, I don't think that's a bad thing. What is bad: applying double standards to retcons on potential romantic interest, which I see a lot in this thread and in others.

Bioware (for ME3 at least) should stick with their main fanbase. Like I said, it isn't about equality. Read the thread before you make assumptions.

Not being constructive is being okay with the Tali retcon but not okay with a male character developing feelings for MaleShep in ME3.  I shouldn't have to explain how romantic it would be for Shepard to tell Kaidan he has cared for him for years and finally got the courage to tell him he has feelings for him but there you go.

Isn't your entire thread a saga in pathetic selfishness? You entire case boils down to "Don't let my beloved Tal Tal catch teh_ghey in ME3 she's my perfect digital girlfriend and we found true wuv." You don't actually care about the story or being faithful to the characters, all you care about is making sure people can't have a same sex relationship with Tali despite the fact she's a freaking alien in the first place and sleeping with a human woman wouldn't be as radical a change as deciding to jump in bed with someone of an entirely different species. A bridge that we already crossed in ME2 for the sole reason the people wanted them to.

How do you know they wernt from the start?  The way Tali speaks and acts towards my femshep suggests otherwise.

Fanservice got Garrus and Tali as squadmates.  So it be good if Tali could romance my femshep.  Plus it would be soooo cute! They are so right for each other both being engineeers.

Plus from the talks on the Normandy and all that hugging and squeezing on her loyality mission you can totally see a romance brewing.  It would be a natural development, one I would be quite fond to see.

Oh and Kaidan is totally hiding his feeling away.  I have my suspicions just like Ricky Martin! B)
