LIs should NOT be bisexual in ME3!

Most of the Variables involve getting the characters killed or haveing them leave. There's only one true Variable to that doesn't involve does and it's... "Survive the Suicide Mission and Maybe be Loyal" and even than many stated they would leave anyway thus throwing that Variable out the window too.
Bioware has made it clear enough that they want a New Squad for ME3.

Bioware has already repeatedly said it will continue the story utilizing all the variables from the previous two stories. It would be illogical to break this promise. What I said still remains logical and doesn't defy the logic of what has already been promised by Bioware.
I disagree the variables decided whether or not the cameo triggers that is using the variables from the previous story. They just said they'd use them they didn't specify how they'd use them.

Funny thing about "ALL" variables and "TIME SKIPS".

Wy bother having it possible to make them loyal and survive if they were gonna scrap them all anyway?

It seems like it's heading that way. There's still the slim possibility of the VS being in ME3 and being romanced by either sex. I've just been trying to say that if this were to be made possible it's not a huge change to their character. @ Wolf
I'm here discussing my opinions peacefully and just because you don't like what I have to say, doesn't mean I have to leave. Sorry, kid.

None of the Killables are needed for the ME3 plot which takes place after a Time Skip between ME2 to ME3.
Besides, they don't have to be Squaddies to be able to continue their romances and there's always DLC to fill the gaps after the ME3 Story has been told.

I just don't want my characters, of any others, pushed aside to DLC because Bioware needs a brand new squad each and every game.
The whole point of a love interest is so you fall in love with them, if they scrap it at
the third game and have whole new LI's then what's th epoint of having them at all?

Just not in your Squad outside of Temp Status like what Liara got.

Besides, didn't you know?
Darkhorse is making another ME Comic to bridge the gap between ME2->ME3. Just like LIara's comic to ME1->ME2.

The LIs are an optional feature and those who actually play through a romance sub plot are, according to BioWare, the minority. The point of Mass Effect is to defeat the Reapers, not fall in love with a teammate.

In my eyes if your character is neglected or kept out of the game without a decent reason then the developers really don't care all that much.
The characters that are love interests should stay as they are love interests, not a "qick fuck" interest, if it were you wouldn't need to bother to romance them or even have them around once the deed was done.
Love interest should stay. Period.

The whole point of the Love interests is to get through the ordeal of having to defeat the reapers and further more the VS weren't even a love interest in ME2 and somehow they get through when they basically said screw ME2's plot?
And there are ones such as Tali, Liara and Garrus who have been there throughout and who are LI's and don't even get a shot to be in ME3?
That view is crap, no offense to you or anything but I think it is as if these characters are standing up on what they can do for the team alone we wouldn't need them and could just have some faceless, helmeted Alliance marines.

This is BioWare's official line on the LIs, they are just extra added in for those who are interested in getting a bit more out of a character. The LI's are not special, they are at the end of the day just like every other squadmate and can be rotated in and out at BioWare's leisure.

If they hadn't there would be no actual debate here, nor would there be any fanbase LI friction.
But then they might have missed out on huge fan bases.
Also not just for ME but why put them in for DA:O?
If they are just a one time in that game why bother at all because the ultimate goal was to defeat the darkspawn so why would you need a LI in that game too?

Well if you use this logic, you kinda enforce the existing characters romance factors to remain static, since adding more options adds more complexity - which adds more cost.
But that taken to it's logical conclusion is to cameo everyone and hire new people for ME3 that way you don't have to worry about who lives or who dies or creating tons of content that some people might not see. Reduce all the survivors to 10 minute cameos get all new people for the squad and go from there. No complexity and probably less money as well.
The complexity is promised. Mass Effect wikia condenses it here. 10 minute cameos are obviously not planned for the final chapter.
"The player's choices in the previous games are expected to have a much more significant impact on the plot than the choices in Mass Effect had on Mass Effect 2. As Mass Effect 3 is the end of the planned trilogy, the developers are not constrained by the necessity of allowing the story to diverge, yet also continue into the next chapter. This will result in a story that diverges into wildly different conclusions based on the player's actions in the first two chapters.
As with Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3 will allow the player to import their save file from the previous game, carrying over their decisions from both Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2, totaling over 1000 variables. As Mass Effect 3 will import decisions not just from Mass Effect 2, but the original Mass Effect as well, some of the player's decisions from Mass Effect that did not have impact in Mass Effect 2 could potentially have an impact in Mass Effect 3.
If Commander Shepard died in the player's Mass Effect 2 playthrough, the player will be unable to to import their save game. Mass Effect 3's story is a continuation of Shepard's story and if Shepard died in Mass Effect 2 that death is considered final. Similarly, any squadmates who did not survive the suicide mission at the end of Mass Effect 2 will not return in Mass Effect 3
Also known to have an impact in Mass Effect 3 is any romance the player has pursued. If Commander Shepard had a love interest in Mass Effect, yet pursued a new love interest in Mass Effect 2, this could have negative repercussions for Shepard's relationship in Mass Effect 3"
Linked sources for the above quote from wikia are available on the wikia page.
So, I reiterate, it would be illogical for Bioware to break this promise of complexity based on the previous two games - but it would not be illogical for them to save costs by not adding bisexual romance options for established characters in the game.

Exactly. I am so happy with Bioware's pursuit of creating complex relationships between the PC and NPC. But it seems counter-productive to foster these friendships and romance only to wipe the slate clean from game to game. The idea of building this legacy of game experiences and carrying over LIs and friends seems a given. But it seems like ME2 painted itself into a corner with the vast number of characters and potential outcomes. But we will see, as long as Liara returns my Female Shepard will be happy. <3

Didn't they say the same thing for Mass Effect 2? Take what was said with a grain of salt because Bioware has constantly lied in the past. Not to mention made promises it cannot keep. If anything that's more PR crude to get more hype for the game.

Comics are easier to make and Bioware went that route because it's much cheaper than adding more huge DLC like LoTSB. Again, they can still remain as LOVE interests without being in your Squad. Liara and VS accomplished this for ME2. Furthermore you keep forgetting that Tali and Garrus can DIE.

Nowhere it is promised that survivors will return as full squadmates
Nowhere it is promised that you will get more from a ME2 romance in ME3 than you got for a ME1 one in ME2.
And being free to let the story diverge is marketing bull****´. The beginning of ME3 still needs to connect the end of ME2 and the middle of ME3, the middle of ME3 still needs to be connected to both the beginning and the end. The only thing truly free is the endgame and the epilogue of ME3 and that is the only place your import will actually matter. Before the start of the endgame you should not expect more than flavour changes like the Wrex/Wreave one on Virmire.

Sure, that may well be, but I'd imagine Garrus and Tali are more popular than, say, Zaeed and Kasumi. I would imagine, i would hope, that they stay for that reason. I know some players who didn't romance anyone in ME1. I know a few who didn't romance anyone in ME2. I know very few who have no strong feelings about any of the squad mates. And, beyond Wrex, Tali and Garrus seem to be some of the most popular personalities (even if they're not the most popular LIs). Even the least RP of my friends love Tali.
As much as it pains me, rotating Wrex out made sense, story-wise: he kept saying he wanted to unite the Krogan, so of course he'd go do that. (Or he's... sniff... dead... I can't believe that is the DEFAULT.)
Back onto the subject of generalized bisexuality - I think it would make sense for some of the squadmates to be bi, but not all of them. If Liara comes back as a squad member (possibly leaving her Drell friend to Shadow Bork it up for a while), I assume she'll still be bi. All you'd need to do is add a bi male, or add a bi option to one of the existing male characters. Heck, it would be interesting, and realistic (though probably not efficient), to have one, or more, of the new ME3 squad-mates be completely gay. If we get a Miranda-style hot babe who is only interested in female sheps, (or vice versa, a cute boy who is only interested in maleshep) it would be interesting to see the fanbase's general reaction. Sadly, if the number of people who do romances at all is really low, the number who are interested in same sex romances is probably even lower, so devoting the resources to creating realistically gay characters might not be efficient. I'm not being critical here, I understand the pressures of resource distribution (heck, I'm just happy we get as much Femshep romance variety as we do.)
I am sad that there will probably never be a hyperactive Salarian romantic option. Stupid adorable not-very-sexual race.

Way to put words in my mouth. What I'm asking is that you stop IGNORING all the other Variables other than the ONE you want to be true. It's both said and pathetic.
Also, Bioware is a company and has lied to its fanbase multiple times in the past. This is a FACT no matter what you think of the matter.
