Okay, I didn't want to make a thread for each one of these problems, so thought I'll list them all here. Before I continue, here are my specs.

Windows 7
Intel Q6600 Quad Core at 2.4 GHz
2 gigs RAM
Nvidia Geforce 275, latest beta drivers (ones supposedly optimized for DA2)
Direct X 10 (playing on DX11 - I have slowdown, but that's to be expected when using a DX10 card with DX11 settings.)
Playing physical disk
Dragon Age v. 1.00

The problems I am experiencing are:

• freezing, where the only way to get out of it is by prolonged Alt-Tab-ing. I know there is a thread about this, and Alt-Tabbing out of the game then going back to the game works, but the side effect is that I can't press any buttons. Specifically, pressing ESC doesn't bring upt he menu, pressing 'M' doesn't bring up the map, etc. If I want to do all that, I have to Alt-Tab back out, hard close the game, then restart the client
• sometimes when getting experience points, like after finding a new ingredient, the level up chime plays even though nobody has leveled up in my party
• sometimes when starting up the game it says I am not connected to the EA servers when clearly the notification at the bottem lists my email address as connected.
• sometimes when starting up, the game gives an error saying my disk is not inserted when I do have it inserted. I have to click "continue' to make it recognize it. This is just an irritant but the next patch should address incorrect labelings like this.

Those are all the issues I'm having, with the freezing and problem with hitting the ESC and M buttons the most glaring problem.

Anyone having similar problems?

It is not a bug, it is a feature. You upgraded companions armor.

already fixed. Download 1.0.1 hotfix.

Well, I got the same Issue with no effect on hitting ESC / M / I and....most other shortcuts. Only shortcuts for my skill quickbar were available.
But that appeared a few days ago and just once. After restarting the game I never got this problem again.
Could have been the same time I installed 1.01, so maybe there is a fix for this ?!

Another error. I forgot to mention this, but I just experienced it now that I'm playing the game again:

Sometimes, when you have a character selected, the mouse controls for them will not work, ie right click will not allow you to move them, allow you to right click and talk to anyone, do class specific abilities like disarm traps for rogues, etc, - just select anything. The only thing you can do is select another character then switch back to the original character to make it work. It's especially irritating when you have the whole group selected and want to move them en masse, but the mouse doesn't work. I'm playing with the 1.01 update, so it's not fixed.

Oh, and: sometimes when you click on a character's talent, for some reason it selects another character instead. This is the most irritating one so far because it only takes place in combat.

Also...AOE attacks sometimes don't work. The AOE target appears, but you can't move it and it's stuck with the untargetted icon. You can't use an AOE attack, sometimes even when you switch to another player and switch back. Good game, but filled with bugs.
