Hello fellow DA2 players.

I'm about to start the "Haunted" quest and I plan to acquire the Primeval Lyrium Rune.
What weapon does benefit most from that rune?
I'm currently playing a two-handed specialist warrior so the option I'm thinking about are:

1. Limb-Taker
2. Bloom
3. The Celebrant.

Which do you suggest? Is there any other better weapon?

Thank You for you help.

You socket the weapon you intend on using the most.

I'd like an advice about the best "general purpose" weapon. Wich is best among them.

Copy/pasted from my guide in response to someone with the same question:

Blade of Mercy is a better trash killer (and the game is made up mostly of trash), and Bloom is a better boss killer, so I'd suggest carrying both.

I'd put the PLR in the Blade of Mercy, only because I'm a priest in a preschool when it comes to speed boosts, but you could make cases for putting it in both of them. if you want to shred bosses faster, put it in the Bloom. If you want GRR HIGHEST MAX ATTACK SPEED POSSIBLE + faster trash kills, put it in the Blade of Mercy.

Long story short, put it in the weapon that's going to better suit what you want to get out of it.

Thank You very much Image IPB
What do you a two-handed warrior will find more useful: to  increase the efficency of  "boss killers" or to max attack speed?

That depends on how you're playing your two-hander.

If you're using the Ultimate Vanguard (Sabresandiego) style build, I'd put it in the Bloom.

If you're using a Mach-5 (Arelex, yes I refer to myself in the third person) style build, I'd put it in the Blade of Mercy.

Whatever you choose, make sure you get yourself the Rune of Devastation to go along with it, but be aware that they do not stack, so you can't put two in the weapon you don't have the PLR in for a 20% damage increase.

While all of Arelex's points are valid, more NPCs are vulnerable to cold than they are to physical--in fact I believe only Darkspawn are vulnerable to physical damage. Other than Aveline's personal quest in Act III where you assist Donnick and then go after Javarus (those series of thugs are all cold immune), and fight the Slavers at Docks (Night) (also cold immune), Bloom is going to yield higher damage overall than will Blade of Mercy.

I put the PLR in my Bloom, but carried Blade of Mercy for those limited quests. Bear in mind Bloom is going to do more damage to Knight Commander Meredith and High Dragon, so I figured might as well buff the best weapon.

Spirit damage (Celebrant) is actually the best damage form, but you didn't list that weapon as a choice, so I didn't compare that one to Bloom. I opted for Bloom anyhow because I didn't want the wasted threat generation stats on Celebrant.

There's a more detailed thread floating about in this forum that details NPC immunities in depth. Hope this helped though.

if you have downloaded the dlc for weapons pack 2, then put it into the empress' point, best phys dmg in the game.
