Hi Everyone

Microsoft has posted a new version of “The Exiled Prince DLC” to the 360 Marketplace and we’re encouraging all “The Exiled Prince DLC” owners to redownload the content.

The new version should allow the 5 DLC achievements to properly unlock in future playthroughs of the “The Exiled Prince DLC” content. Customers who have previously completed this content will need to replay the content, either via a new game, or by using an save made prior to getting any achievements from this content.

Here is the steps users need to undertake to update their copy of The Exiled Prince DLC

Uninstalling Old Data:
1.    Starting on the Xbox 360 dashboard, go to ‘System Settings’, located on the far, right end of the ‘My Xbox’ section.
2.    Choose ‘Memory’.
3.    Select the memory device on which the DLC is installed.
4.    Choose ‘Games’.
5.    Choose ‘Dragon Age II’.
6.    Scroll down and choose ‘The Exiled Prince’ Marketplace Content.
7.    Select ‘Delete’, then ‘Yes’ to confirm the action.

Installing New Data
1.    Press the Xbox Guide button.
2.    Scroll right to ‘Settings’ and choose ‘Account Management’, choose ‘Yes’ to confirm.
3.    Choose ‘Download History’.
4.    Choose ‘The Exiled Prince’ game add-on.
5.    Select ‘Download Again’.

If after you have followed each step above, and replayed The Exiled Prince DLC and this still does not fix the achievement unlock issue for you, please let us know below.

So what happens to the save games that already have the exiled prince content, such as items and experience from the quests? After deleting the old version and installing the new one, does the game recognize everything that was previously unlocked since I already did some of the quests? (and I'm not talking about achievements)

I'd also like to know if this affects saved games, as I'm on chapter 3 and have romanced Sebastian, would hate for this to affect anything romance related end-game.

Saved games are unaffected by deleting and re-installing the DLC.

Done it a couple of hours ago and had no problems with all 130 points, (5 achievements), unlocking.

Got a lot of stickies on this page - now that this is fixed - maybe you can remove the one called:
Known issue - Exiled Prince achievements not unlocking on X360

So just to confirm you had previously done the dlc but when you redid it with the new version they unlocked?  Or was this your first time through?  Sorry but with all the delays and problems with Shale's quest I'll be pleasantly surprised if it's fixed this quickly.

Deleted the first version but when I downloaded the second version it disappeared from my hard drive once downloaded, downloading again now, hopefully will work this time.

Edit: Just downloaded again, everything seems to be working fine now, thanks for the fix Bioware Posted Image

I deleted The Exilded Prince and then re-downloaded but the version number still says 1.0. Is this normal, or should it be different?

The version number of the playable content remains the same at 1.0 and that's what's displayed in-game. It's some of the out-of-game files that were changed - their version number has been updated but is not displayed in-game.

Glad to see that the fix is working for everyone! Let us know if you experience any further troubles.

So I guess it is safe to assume that the initial DLC was glitched, including the version shipped with the SE Edition, and no patch will be released to retroactively unlock the achievements for those who already completed The Exiled Prince DLC. Fortunately (for me) I have not played that DLC, as of yet, and can simply delete it and re-download. I just hope Xbox Live doesn't try and charge me MSP to download the Exiled Price DLC, since I technically never paid for the DLC as it was included in the SE Edition of Dragon Age II. This 'fix' only applies to those who have not already played the DLC. Anyone who has at least appears to be SOL for the current playthru.

Since I did the first quest for it and didn't receive the first achievement is it possible to start a new game up to that point and then continue on with my original save and get the rest of them on that save file?

The following downloadable content is corrupt and cannot be used. Please re-download and try again. The Exiled Prince.
I have tried downloading this 3 times out of game and in game. It actually doesn't really download its 50 MB and it take 2 secs to download. I have cleared cache before as well.
I am disappointed.

Edit: This is what happens when you dont follow directions. sorry

ill try following them now.

I have the signature edition as well and the Exiled Prince still shows up under the download history.  So just follow the steps and you'll be fine.

Confirmed the achs are unlocking even if you had played TEP previously. I had cleared cache as well but apparently that's not necessary this time. I doubt there will be a fix that looks at your saves and adds the gs retroactively but I don't know. Anyone with an early save can get them quick. It's not like 3 hours in the dentist's chair. Thank you BioWare.

You know what irritates me....I had a save (in my 2nd playthrough waiting on this patch) that I was saving waiting on this patch and I ACCIDENTALLY over wrote it in act 3 last night....SO SO SO weaksauce now I have to go through the game yet again. BAH!!! The moral of this story is do a better job at testing this content so I dont have to worry about these things. I could see if this was an MMO but it's kind of a static game that will only change with DLC....how is it so so buggy?

Done and done. I followed the instructions and i got a fresh download with 50Mb. I haven't tried it yet, but i assume when the download takes longer then it's new, since redownloading usually takes a second.

Damnit, I only played this quest last night with the original download. Wish someone had pointed this out to me before, wouldn't have to now replay the game to do it over.
