Quit being so damn ungrateful. BioWare fixed it, and unfortunately you need to go back and replay the quests to unlock the achievements. Thats the way it is. Its not even much of a hassle to go through another playthrough. I certainly have no problem with it, and from the looks of it, no one else has a problem either. BioWare or Microsoft don't exist to make fixes according only to your whims.Eegah manos wrote...
So are there any plans to fix it to where I dont have to redo the DLC to get what I have already earned. I dont think Bioware should be thanked unless that is done, its not a fix to make me redo the game.
THANK YOU BioWare for the fix. Working well and the cheevos are popping

So just to confirm you had previously done the dlc but when you redid it with the new version they unlocked? Or was this your first time through? Sorry but with all the delays and problems with Shale's quest I'll be pleasantly surprised if it's fixed this quickly.
I had done the DLC before, loaded up that save game, none unlocked.
I made saves at just before where each achievement should unlock on my second playthrough as I was playing, just loaded them up and finished the requirements, everything unlocked.

Why, yes it is. And I have a problem with it, as I don't have a lot of time to play videogames.
But what the hell, that's my problem, I guess. A proper testing would have prevented this issue from happening, so I'm not exactly "happy, happy, flowers and kisses to you Bioware".
Thanks anyway. And glad to see that it works.

They didnt fix the the problem, they just said redown load and do it again, that is not fixing the problem, as a paying customer its not a whim for me to expected them to fix something I paid 60 bucks for.
I am sure I will replay the game as I like it, but that is not a fix and they shouldnt be thanked a non fix.
I mean what they called a fix wouldnt fly where I work. So while others are showering them with flowers I will with hold that for a real fix.

That's exactly how I feel.
As a paying customer, who pre-ordered the game, at least I would expect it to work properly.
Not sure if I'm a jerk or a non-thankful bastard, but I won't shower them with flowers...having to spend another 20+ hours in a game that should have worked correctly in the first place isn't something I should be thankful for.

I absolutely agree the game should have worked properly from the moment I bought and played it, but unfortunately thats not the case. The same can be said for most games in fact, I have yet to see a "perfect" game that has no bugs or glitches whatsoever.
Chris said that Microsoft had to re-post the DLC on XBL, so I'm guessing the Achievement issue was something on Microsoft's side, not BioWare's (as Microsoft has a bad track record for annoying XBL issues). Thats just a guess though, I am not even sure if thats the true case.
It's a fix to the DLC that will have to do. Would I have liked the achievements to have popped immediately with no replay required? Of course. However, I'm not going to get angry at it. It works now, and if I need to replay the DLC then so be it. I don't like it necessarily, but the fix is out and I'm happy that at least it works now.
Thats why I thank BioWare or Microsoft for at least addressing it.
There are more pressing bugs to fix in DA2 though and I hope BioWare is hard at work fixing them as we speak

This is where I tell you to learn how to read.

Microsoft has posted a new version of “The Exiled Prince DLC” to the 360 Marketplace
They didn't "just tell us to redownload it". They uploaded a new version to their servers with working achivements. They reuploaded the DLC after they FIXED it.
I understand that it's not unreasonable to think that it should work properly the first time, but you should stop being ungreatful that they're at least trying to make things right.
