What if you already did parts of the dlc and never got the achievements due to the bug. When you get the update do you automatically get the achievements or do you have to those quests all over again because if you do that would totally suck.

I deleted the content and reinstalled it a couple of weeks ago and sure enough on my second playthrough an achievement unlocked for completing the 'Duty' sidequest. I returned to the game again this week and now whenever I start the game I recieve a message telling me that the Exiled Prince DLC is corrupted and to delete and download it again upon doing so, however, the message does not cease to appear on start-up.

I understand that the current fix (deleteing and redownloading the DLC) is not retroactive, but are there any plans to eventually have the achievements unlock for people who already beat it without having to play through again (via patch or whatever)? This would be most appreciated as I've already played through (and didn't keep a lot of saves) and don't know when or if I'll have time to do so again.

So..........I'm not sure if I need a Timmy ho's Run for a Double Double or I need to take some Wake-Ums here. l'm playing through the second time.....and still NO achievements for the Exiled Prince DLC. And furthermore what's the deal with the" Secret Meeting of the Divine" achievement??? I did not get that one either.........should I blame myself or Bioware or Microsoft here? Seriously.

Bioware.  This is another achievement bug.  I also didn't get the Pride one.  Just finished my 2nd play through.

Hi Everyone

Microsoft has posted a new version of “The Exiled Prince DLC” to the 360 Marketplace and we’re encouraging all “The Exiled Prince DLC” owners to redownload the content.

The new version should allow the 5 DLC achievements to properly unlock in future playthroughs of the “The Exiled Prince DLC” content. Customers who have previously completed this content will need to replay the content, either via a new game, or by using an save made prior to getting any achievements from this content.

Here is the steps users need to undertake to update their copy of The Exiled Prince DLC

Uninstalling Old Data:
1.    Starting on the Xbox 360 dashboard, go to ‘System Settings’, located on the far, right end of the ‘My Xbox’ section.
2.    Choose ‘Memory’.
3.    Select the memory device on which the DLC is installed.
4.    Choose ‘Games’.
5.    Choose ‘Dragon Age II’.
6.    Scroll down and choose ‘The Exiled Prince’ Marketplace Content.
7.    Select ‘Delete’, then ‘Yes’ to confirm the action.

Installing New Data
1.    Press the Xbox Guide button.
2.    Scroll right to ‘Settings’ and choose ‘Account Management’, choose ‘Yes’ to confirm.
3.    Choose ‘Download History’.
4.    Choose ‘The Exiled Prince’ game add-on.
5.    Select ‘Download Again’.

If after you have followed each step above, and replayed The Exiled Prince DLC and this still does not fix the achievement unlock issue for you, please let us know below.

I wish I had read that before I played through The Exhiled Prince a second time. Bummer...<_<

Well, thats awesome that Bioware gave us this fix as I was wondering when these quests would appear. I'll re-download tonight. I also bought the SE version and hope this fix works. Still, many other bugs require fixing. Too many to list here.

so I take it that regardless of what version of the game you have (reg or SE), just follow these steps?

I'm waiting till the patch to come out then I'll download it...it's just better this way

I still can't get the Loyalty of the Prince achievement.

Can you only get this achievemnt if you kill Anders also?

I can't believe you're all so happy with this 'fix'. It should've just worked properly in the first place. It doesn't matter whose fault it is.

This also does not feel like a real fix. Everyone who has played the DLC should get the achievements without having to play it again, anything less is unacceptable.

I played the Exiled Prince that came with my SE version and had no problem with "Duty" or Faith." I've downloaded the DLC as directde and haven't noticed any changes in achievements. I'm only in Act II with the new version. Is their some new achievement I'm supposed to have? I don't see it in teh Extra menu unless its a secret one.

Oh thank you so much! I did my whole first play through and only after realised I had done these things and not recieved the achievements.... going to give this a try now!

EDIT: It worked! I just re-loaded an earlier save and re-did the 'duty' quest, and it unlocked! Yeeeeeee <3

So after playing through it, twice, I must go through a third time to get achievements I already should have? Ive played games where as soon as they are patched I received the achievement upon logging in.

So I'm gonna have to play it again for the achievements? This makes me quite angry.

I have tried the fix twice now, but I cannot seem to get the Cloak and Dagger Achievement.

Edit: Nevermind, I got it!

This is hopeless and may reconsider future purchasesPosted: 2012-04-16 - 0 comment(s) - 0 trackback(s)Category: bugs Okay. This is what I've done w/ DA2 on my Reach xbox 360 S.
1. I had all the achievements for Exciled Prince DA2 DLC cept' for the bow.
2. New updates took them from me saying I never had them.
3. I cleared the cache to my 360
4. I delete the DLC, even the Black Emporium and uninstalled the game itself.
5. I redownloaded all of it.
6.When loading a save before the achievement "Duty" it still does not award it, nor did it when I started from scratch not once, but twice.
7.Still no achievement. Even after going to another quest after hearing every line of conversation, getting the reward and XP. I can not get those entitlements The High Lord's Belt, Pendant of the Morning Frost, or the Deep Green and they are becoming unavailable before I can get this game to work right over a year after it's release. Why? What can be done about this?I do not have the time nor the patience to keep starting the game over just to keep getting let down. There are way too many games I own I would like to spend time with to keep messing with this broken game. I will try 1 last time with advice from a Bioware employ if they wish to comment here as I did exactly what that fix post said and then some. If not, I will reconsider future support of Bioware and EA Games as this would be the last straw in a long line of problems with their games. Please consider pushing back release dates and putting more time in testing and quality control. Do gamers really care to wait another month or 3 if it means a more enjoyable and less frustraiting experiance? One should never sacrifice quality for quantity. Nintendo does not have these problems and the games are constantly top notch and worth the wait. ie Zelda, Mario.
