Even Jory had it better then when he brought that longsword out from nowhere to confront Duncan with (even if you had completely stripped him of all equipment, which makes me wonder just where he was keeping it). However that didn't go to well for him, so maybe the knife is all right after all
Stupid Jory, everyone knows Liam Neeson is invulnerable until the opportunity for the most tragically heroic death presents itself :|

Don't know if anyone made a thread about this, but I think BIOWARE should start adding items that are used in cutscences to your inventory. Seriously If I'm going stab someone in a cutscence, I want it to be a epic dagger, not a fail one.
Used to hate this, but now it's become ironically funny.
Especially at the end of Awakenings "sheath massive sword, pull out butterknife"

Did I see you call Duncan Liam Neeson before? You are aware that is not who voices him, right? You are just making some awkward connection of thinking the Irish sound like they're from Louisiana, I hope.Lithuasil wrote...

Because everyone knows when you really absolutely need to slay a monsterous fiend, a simple massive sword just doesn't get the job done. Only the mightly Butterknife of Righteous Fury will do

Duncan lived like any Liam Neeson character ever, looks like liam Neeson, died like him, and if this was a movie he'd be played by Liam Neeson. If they also sounded alike, Bioware would get sued by Oscar Schindler and Quigon Jin :|

Pft. Obi-Wan did it before him. In fact, the trope of invulnerable mentor character who dies in a great sacrifice is called "the Obi-Wan" (Gandalf does not count, he gets better).
So really you should call him Alec Guiness.

Speaking of which it would be nice if blood magic animations had you slitting your wrist with the cutscene dagger instead of staff impalement.. oh well.
Yes!
that was so weird. It was a wtf moment. Yea sure blound wound is very powerful and might require a lot of blood. But you are risking your organs here.

At least we didn't have Duncan's disembodied voice calling to us through the game to 'use the taint, Warden'

"Why did you use the murder knife on a skeleton?"
I mean with a rogue that looks great, but a mage? Come on.
