Everytime I load up for the cinematic to the deep roads DA 2 crashes. I have tried restarting, shutting down, shuffling party members, pretty much everything but reinstalling the game which i have through steam. Not to mention I've had the same crashes that have been mentioned ad nauseum here.
I get that there are 1000's of different computer configs that can affect crashing but from the sheer number of posts i've seen i'm hard pressed to defend the QC on this. I will pray for a patch and if anyone knows a workaround for the deep roads crash please let me know.

I was having a similar problem. What I tried was to run the Verifiy Integrity of Game Cache process through Steam. That discovered that my installation was missing 2 files (about 7.9 MB in total size) which it then proceeded to download. When that was done I was finally able to get into the Deep Roads. If you haven't tried this yet you can give it a shot. Hope this helps.
