I look at DA2 to DA:O in the same way as I look at FFXIII to FFXII, not a sequel per se, but a continuation of a series. If this had been a sequel, I wouild have expected to see full appearances from at least a couple of the companions and a continuation of the story line with the Warden being the Hero.

As a result, I went in to this expecting a different game from DA:O and as a result, I wasn't disappointed. I tend to take marketing descriptiopns of stuff with a massive pinch of salt, mainly because I've seen marketing from their side, and it's not pretty.

I won't argue, this game has it's flaws, eg recycled areas, but I still enjoyed it. I think the biggest problem was it's name. If it hadn't been sold as a DA game, but had been released as a game in it's own right, I think a lot of the disapponitment would have been lessened.

What you say about the Warden, Yea they should have brougth them back.......Why in the hell do I want to play a game with some new Hero and yes they want to make Hawke the new face of DA and I can't stand that and yes I love the character you start with and not some off the wall carbon copy of many characters rolled up into one crap ball they gave us.  They throw the Warden under the bus for this character......was this David's plain all along? Yea alot of you don't like to carry over but there are alot that do. I really tried to give this game a chance but  without having my character I have built and giving me some new off the wall lowlife and trying to make him just as good as the warden....made me sick and ontop of it all this story was all over the damn place and had a hollow lead. You don't like it....Flame mePosted Image

Well, that's what you want, but as far as I'm concerned my Warden is done. I have no desire to see him again, at least not for a long time.
I find it far more interesting to see new protagonists and their role in the overarching storyline.
