Sorry if this has been answered before but there still doesn't seem to be a search function.

I read somewhere that you can find out more information on your Hawke's father during a quest in the game,  you find out information like Carver was named after a Templar who let your father go. Was just wondering if when this quest is available and where I can find it? Thanks.

You have to play a mage. You find a letter while doing Carver's companion quest.

Ah ha. I guess I'll find it next play through then, to busy with Shogun TW 2 at the moment for Dragon Age. Cheers.
