Just wondering just how many things are happening in Thedas at the moment? Lets see we have:
1. Hawke and the Warden disappearing.
2. Mages and templars basically going to war plus the chantry is falling apart.
3. The grey wardens seen to be doing something secret as well. ( 6th blight perhaps? :0 )
4. Morrigans god baby
5. Flemeth surviving
6. Morrigan and Flemeths destiny/change speeches

Just wondering does anyone have any ideas on whats going to happen/whats happening?

- Templars or the Chantry pilfer the formula for gaatlok and start making guns.
- The Qunari rage and invade.
- Templars/Chantry/Mages have to drop everything and fight off the horde of angry grey men
- In the midst of this, A GREAT EVIL APPEARS (Darkspawn/godchild/something else entirely)
- Hawke runs around Orlais and saves the day
- Warden makes a 5 minute cameo. If we're lucky.
- Most importantly, Templars with guns.

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: a waste of desert sand;
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Wind shadows of the indignant desert birds.

The darkness drops again but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

I was about to post the lyrics of Immolation's Close to a World Below but Maria come first with Yeats, that shows basically the same attitude.

At any rate, what would be awesome to see is a massive dragon revenge over Nevarra and being able to play with an old dragonslayer from there as companion.

So basically, they'll build a sphinx and 1900 years later a lazy person is born?

Edit: This is my interpretation and I'm sticking to it.

World at War: 9:40 Dragon.

That about sums it up. The defecation is hitting the oscillation and more than likely, given the Warden's preoccupation with "matters of great importance", the looming OGB, and Hawke and the Warden's disappearances, there are dastardly shenanigans going on in the background that the Mages vs Templars war is just the very tip of (or even a cover for).

Lends credit to the theory that Flemeth is Fen'Harel, imo.

The ever victorious armies of the Qun shall come from across the oceans and ask of the triumvirate whether Thedas can be saved or must be scoured from existence, pray that the triumvirate have judged you worthy of the honour of life in the Qun for a dozen lands lie burning and lifeless across the oceans whom other triumvirates of the immortal prophet have deemed unworthy.

Anaan esaam Qun.

We can't know. BioWare does... we can only wait...

I only DEMAND an Epic story.. and to see Flemeth, Morrigan, and The Child.

Very probably it will take place in Orlais...

Also don't forget, somewhere during the game, a Templar mentioned that the number of mages found recently had tripled. I figured it was just something the alarmist Templar commander was spreading, but what if mages for some odd reason are becoming more numerous...

The Qunari invade. With the Templars and Mages fighting each other, there's not significant enough a force to hold back their advance. Desperate, the Chantry attempts to woo the Templars and Mages back in the fold with questionable tactics and possibly outright lies of promised autonomy. Eventually, the Chantry does have it forces in line, Templars and Mages side by side. As the two armies clash a giant ugly monster appears out of nowhere and we forget all plots that have led to this point for a boss battle.

My opinion
- There will be a World War.
- Some great threat will appear, perhaps the last remaining Old Gods will awaken.
- Wardens will be focusing against the new ultimate Blight, the important thing stated by them in DA2.
- Flemeth wants something
- This threat will be the reason behind Thedas having to unite.
- There is only one person in Thedas who will be able to unite the lands, and that will be your character.
- That same person just happens to be the only person who can defeat the threat also.
- Old God Child will be mentioned once at the most, he won't be a major character.
- Someone will rise, according to Sandals prophecy.
- The truth will be revealed, another thing that I got from Sandals prophecy.
- Arlathan will turn out to be the Black City and the reason why it fell will be found, and it will perhaps bring an end to the Blights.
- Flemeth will turn out to be Andraste reincarnated or something like that. She has something important to do with the new threat.
- Flemeth will die

Quite abit of speculation.

I never heard this, but according to the DA Wiki Sandal says this at some point.

Sandal: One day the magic will come back - all of it. Everyone will be just like they were. The shadows will part and the skies will open wide.
Bodahn: Huh? What's this?
Sandal: When he rises, everyone will see.
Bodahn: By the ancestors! What has gotten into you, my boy?
Sandal: Enchantment!
Bodahn: That's more like it!

Wait I've got it.

Dragon Age 3 will tie in with Mass Effect 3.

The Black City is a Reaper. Many blood mages will assume direct control.
Shepard will drop in according to your ME3 save, and the following exchange will happen.

Shepard: Hawke.
Hawke: Shepard.
Wrex: Shepard.
Shepard: Wrex.
Sten: Kadan.
Warden: Sten.
Shepard: Kadan?
Sten: Kadan.
Hawke: ....

Yes I have too much free time today.

Honestly, I wouldn't put it past Bioware to *somehow* tie together their two flagship gaming franchises. And, equally honestly, I might be intrigued at such a possibility.

I foresee something major happening with Orlais next game. King Alistair hopped over to Kirkwall to mention that a war could be brewing between Orlais and Ferelden. Leliana is already there. Sandal and Bodahn look like they might end up working for the Empress. Maybe Bioware will stir up an Orlesian hero to join the Warden and Hawke in their disappearance act? Good things come in threes, after all.
