After buying haste I felt like it was not lasting nearly long enough. Using a stopwatch I found that my talented haste spell that should last 20 seconds instead lasts about 8.5 when I use it. Oddly enough it seems to last for 12.5 when Anders casts it, so I really have no idea what is going on. I also happened to note that Arcane Shield only gives 15% defense and resistances rather than 20%. Are there any other abilities that do not work as described?

Also, is there a search function on these boards somewhere? I feel like I wouldn't have been the first person to notice stuff like this.

Rally and Unite don't work properly either, but that was already said in the readme file that comes with the installation.

Yeah, retaliation is totally useless as is. She just freezes in place, even if being whacked over the head repeatedly (and should therefore retaliate...)

I think that she freezes in place, and then does the amount of damage retaliate is supposed to do whenever she is hit. Still not a very impressive ability, as you aren't doing anything else doing that time.

I'm a bit astounded that they just have a gigantic list of all the things they couldn't fix. It's like a CS student that decided to be lazy in an assignment and just said "hey, most of this stuff works, there are a few problems but I'll just take a B or C or something on this assignment." Except instead of that they still charged $60.

Disorienting Shot does not work, do not invest points in this one.

Rally seems to work OK for me.

Rally's mana regen works, but it doesn't apply the bonuses from Elemental Aegis, Turn the Blade, etc.

I always figured Haste was off in the duration it gives, as I noticed several times over that my companions would have it for a second or two longer than me.

The description totally under sells Pull of the Abyss IMO. Doesn't emphasize the knock down and tug enough.

It seems as of now your own magic resistance also effects friendly spells.

I tested this by casting haste while I had the annulment talent in the Templar tree granting 50% magic resist, haste only lasted 8 or so seconds. I used a respec potion and cast haste again and it lasted the full 20 seconds.

The Templar Cleanse ability doesn't just dispel enemy sustained spells, it'll also wipe the Heroic aura off yourself.

I was wondering why haste seemed to be so short in the later levels...

That is a wonderfully hilarious bug. Can't believe that slipped the QA...oh wait....

 Sounds like a morrowind bug lol. This game has so many bugs that if I go to bed after I finish playing, I start dreaming of bed bugs (horrible dream) :o

bioware is kinda famous for making amazing games that are absolutley full of bugs... you can't tell me that they had a decent tester play through once and not be able to list off a couple dozen bugs

this is the very reason im not buying their MMO... im fine with single player bugs, but all the exploits that will happen on thier MMO will be retarded

Anyone knows if the Haste upgrade for 90% Colldown reduction works only with melee spec? because it seens it doesn't work with archer spec.

Is this related to friendly-fire on Nightmare or just a standalone bug?  The bugs in this game are reaching Funcom levels of bad.

I think it is by design, why would magic resistance differentiate between hostile or beneficial magic sources.

Only Varric's doesn't work (in fact his entire pinning shot never pins down, which is probably why it never disorients either).

I'll bet its a problem with the fact that they have friendly fire in this game because FF essentially does the same damage/effects as it does to enemies. Must be a bug in the code where its not differentiating between friend and foe.

Haste stacks. A lot. I'll use haste, then Anders will do the same, and the bonuses don't add up. Instead of whatever number you should have (I forget, I did the math last night) it adds up to roughly the equivalent of 3 castings. And when you have that with the Primal Lyrium Rune...yeah...

I was wondering about Rally. Does the upgrade increase the fatigue/power regen significantly? The basic version seems to regen about 5% of the companion's fatigue/power.
