So I'm totally in love with Merrill. I can look past the whole 'consorting with a demon' thing 'cause everyone has issues. What pisses me off is that if you tell Isabela that you'll only travel on her ship with her if you can bring Merrill, at the end of the game, Varric only mentions that you travel with Isabela and that everyone else left.

Is this a bug, or just as stupid as I think it is?

Does Varric just not say "we all left the Champions side, except of course Isabella" or something like that no matter who you romanced?

It could just mean she has an important part to play in the future story.

Varric only says that if you romanced Isabella or had a glitch where you slept with Isabella and the game thinks you romanced her. It's their fault for sleeping with Isabella.

If you had Sexy time with Isabela, then pick the heart-breaker option, it glitches the game so that Isabella is considered the final romance. It happened to me 'cause at the end Varric said Isabella and Merrill at the same time when commenting who stayed with the Champion.
Annoying as crap cause I had to restart.

Worst bug is double romance bug...my Hawke get to confess he love to both Fernis & Merrill at the end...
When Varric mentions it? Dual channel, I could hear Fenris & Merrill at the exact same time...

Honestly, after that cut scene, I could NOT have my character sleep with her. Just... thinking about it grosses me out. And her comments at the inn about stinking so much she even asks you if she should bathe? Ugh.

The Champion of Kirkwall deserves better.

I liked Isabella up to the point when she runs away with the book and was like "**** THE INNOCENTS!" just to save her own ****ing ass.

It's a bug. It's not just Isabela. Apparently, Varric says you end up with whomever you flirt/havesex with first, instead of whom you actually end up with. It'll (hopefully) be fixed in the next patch.

To be fair I don't think she expected the Arishok to suddenly go into warcrazy mode. He had been sitting on his ass for 4 years by that point.

Well, it was my first playthrough, (I even told her it meant nothing) and of course Isabela is attractive... but after finishing the game... no further playthrough will I even touch her. My Hawke's do have standards. I just hope they fix Merrill's quest chain- It makes me wonder what kind of Barney Fife testers these games have when such obvious quest errors exist at launch...

Well... Varric did say I ended up with Isaberrill... and now I'm really curious as to what that would entail...
