It is a bug.

Worst bug is double romance bug...my Hawke get to confess he love to both Fernis & Merrill at the end...
When Varric mentions it? Dual channel, I could hear Fenris & Merrill at the exact same time...

Obviously they couldn't deal with sharing Hawke so instead they decided to merge into a single being!

Well... Varric did say I ended up with Isaberrill... and now I'm really curious as to what that would entail...

It means you'll stay on a ship with an elven blood mage pirate who enjoys sleeping around and is looking for a way to rebuild an eluvian. Elementary

So I'm totally in love with Merrill. I can look past the whole 'consorting with a demon' thing 'cause everyone has issues. What pisses me off is that if you tell Isabela that you'll only travel on her ship with her if you can bring Merrill, at the end of the game, Varric only mentions that you travel with Isabela and that everyone else left.

Is this a bug, or just as stupid as I think it is?

There is a bug where if Isabela is in your party, she will be mentioned in the epilogue over you LI.  As I undestand, it happends if you max friendship/rivalry.

Why can't she have inherited Merrill's monogamy?

I was fine with Isabela sleeping around, because our relationship was never about love. But I loved Merrill, and Merrill loved me. And Varric turned her into a harlot :crying:

They're more machine than women now. Twisted and evil.

That quote really does not bend well to this situation.

Honestly, after that cut scene, I could NOT have my character sleep with her. Just... thinking about it grosses me out. And her comments at the inn about stinking so much she even asks you if she should bathe? Ugh.

The Champion of Kirkwall deserves better.

Isabela is filthy, dirty, sl*tty, a drunk, foul-mouthed, has STIs, trashes my furniture, is constantly starting brawls, and owes me money.

And there's no one I'd rather have by my side.

Quoted for solidarity. I mean, Merrill is still first in my heart (right now), but still. Hos gotta stick together.

You know how Anders is now also Justice? ... well... what I am about to tell you is 100% real--I'm totally in the inner circle with David Gaider (or, as he likes me to call him, Davie Gee, but I digress):

A long time ago, in a kingdom far, far away, Isabela made this pact with an STD demon...

I don't know what all the fuss about her visit to Anders is about. Honestly.

I'd rather she be visiting a healer to keep her clean, than not visiting a healer and getting very sick/risking death (or spreading STIs to all and sundry).

If Isabela were a guy, I doubt anyone would be making this much of a fuss. Double stinkin' standards.

So... you're saying... Isabela is a Jedi and Yoda a STD Demon?

I liked Isabella up to the point when she runs away with the book and was like "**** THE INNOCENTS!" just to save her own ****ing ass.

She did that BEFORE the book.

Oh...

You mean "Forget the innocents." Be more precise, god damnit.

One of my favourite moments with Isabela occurs during a quest for Meredith. I suggest she give a first kiss to this mage and she says, "I can **** myself just fine without help" or something like that.

Where would we be without Isabela. <3

I slept with Isabela first before my female mage Hawke fell in love with Anders, and also recieved the dual audio of IsabelAndersa. Which gives more credence to the idea of an STD demons involvement. I plan on romancing Merrill in my next play through, but if/when it comes time for my "canon" play through, I'm going Isabella all the way.

You take a risk with Isabella--I remember seeing her getting treatment at Anders's Clinic for VD! Ha, ha!

I'm sure I would. I was saying these things about Zevran long before Isabela was--well, I guess she was just as awful in Origins, wasn't she?

STDs aside, and in Isabela's defense... Merrill is too much of a loli. I can't help but think she's like 13 years old when she talks. >.>

The VA of Merrill is the reason why I'll romance her in my next playthrough. I like Isabela better... but... the ... voice... can't resist...

The voice acting is good for sure, but the way she speaks and the whole innocence gig... eh. It's just not my thing, I guess. Reminds me too much of Nia in Gurren Lagann, or any other loli in an anime.

The huge eyes and the petite elven look don't exactly make her look mature, either. The only real sign of maturity is that they made her pretty voluptuous.

Yeah, I know some very grown up Welsh people who sound just like that. I'd be more concerned about people projecting youthfulness where it doesn't exist.
