Changing companion armor appearance with apr_base.gda

UPDATE: Figured it out. item_variations.gda also needed to be modified to contain Anders' robe, and that's where the appearance needed to be switched. Credit to Thought Process (http://social.biowar...7/index/6523705) for the edited variations file.

Now to just figure out how to give him a pair of boots so that he's not barefoot...

In this case, editing Anders' default appearance.

I know that by opening apr_base.gda, and editing the line that G2DA_COLUMN_4 points to, I can specify the armor that a character will display. However, in the case of Anders, I'm finding that he has invisible feet and hands if I try to set anything other than a full robe.

I'd like to switch his default look to something similar to the basic level 1 Hawke mage tunic, but don't know how to work around the disappearing limbs problem. Does anyone know how to go about fixing this?

I read elsewhere that changing G2DA_COLUMN_11's value from 3 to 0 would correct this problem, but that doesn't seem to work in this case.

Any pointers would be sincerely appreciated.
