My personal take on the galaxy map theme song from ME 1 & 2 ("Jack Wall - New Worlds" in particular). Produced and remixed from scratch. Let me know what you all think :)

I figured I would make it easier for all of you who have been using video converters to grab the song off YouTube, so I uploaded a HQ (320k) mp3 of it to share it on here as a token of my appreciation for all the comments and support so far!  Thank you all so much for listening and I'm glad so many of you have enjoyed it!

:)

It makes me think of if Deus Ex and Mass Effect OSTs collided, which is a good thing. Although I think it's just slightly too heavy on the filters for my tastes, it's better than I could do myself. I like it. Also, good job on posting some creative original content. I love it when people post their own music or art.

What's interesting with this is that despite the ME2 version sounding very similar to the ME1 version, I'm also getting a massive ME1 vibe from it. It echoes some of the other music from the first game - kinda like you've taken the general sound of the first game and applied it to to the tune of the galaxy map.

Absolutely love it :)

So glad you're all enjoying it! @Metal-Dragon-Kiryu, you're right --I took more inspiration from the ME1 music in general to be honest. I thought a lot of the ME2 music was a little too cinematic to consider remixing, while the ME1 music was very minimalistic and revolved more around synthesis and atmospheric melody that I could take advantage of. The galaxy map theme has been my favourite composition from the games so far, so I decided to give my own spin on it :)

Thanks a lot for the feedback everyone! Really appreciate it!!

I dig it, it's kinda Mass Effect meets Maimi Vice to my ears, lol.

Hey mate, I used FL Studio for this. I've been using it forever producing trance and electronica, but recently I've been more into cinematic compositions. Did this mix a while ago actually. Took me a couple hours, but most of the production time was spent trying to get all the melodies in sync with each other lol. Worth the head ache though haha. Thanks for listening, and glad you liked it :)

Helion,

Beautifully done. Balanced, mixed and crafted to perfection. I love it!
I always liked the original which to me had Tangerine Dream vibe,  but yours is even more epic.

How about a longer version Image IPB

This is great... though the higher pitched keys (i.e. :25 - :45) kind of detract from the rest of the track. Excellent work though... especially 1:56 onward. Reminds me of Mirror's Edge.

Wow, just wow. I fell in love with the remix. It's both Mass Effect'y and original; it's brilliant. Thank you for sharing!

Good job, I hope you have more on the way, it was thoroughly enjoyable, gives me the old Mass Effect 1 nostalgia.

Holy sh!t dude, that was awesome. One of the best fanmade remixes I've come across for anything.

I wouldn't be surprised if something like that was used for Mass Effect 3.

Frack. Ing. Awe. Some.

Has a Mass Effect x Dune x Blade Runner feel.

Very big win...probably a little too fast for the galaxy map though...maybe the music as the fleets assemble to kick reaper arse in ME3..? *nudge* BioWare */nudge*

That was really cool! BioWare should use that in ME3. Keep up the good work.

WOW. Nice to see so many people are listening and digging what I've done :D Really awesome! I did send it to Jack Wall a while ago and he replied back saying he loved it, so that was a nice motivator too, but honestly I think the best reaction so far has to be all of your comments!

Maybe I'll do another remix of it, or a different ME song? We'll see ;)

Thanks for all the support!
