So, after visiting Methari in Act 2, I defered to the keeper's wisdom and withheld the scrying tool--or whatever--from Merrill, preventing her from finishing the Eluvian. This precipitated a few contentious conversations that I assumed would wrap up this whole affair as Merrill ultimately ended up destroying the mirror having finally decided that her course of action was wrong.
Now I'm in Act 3, however, and Merrill is back to pining over the mirror as if she hadn't previously destroyed what little of the thing was left. In fact, she wants me to take her back to Sundermount to commune with some demon about fixing the damned thing.
So I'm confused, have I encountered a plot flag bug or is this just another case of the plot progressing along the same straight line regardless of which path you take? With this game it's kind of hard to tell.
Have I encountered a bug in Merrill's questline?

Yeah, just a bug. I got things to go more or less in order my second time through (well, chronological order, but I had to do two odd side quests before getting to the resolution in which she destroys the mirror). I tried to convince myself it was presented as a series of flashbacks, but I'm not good enough at self delusion. Ah well.
