Did you ever play Golems of Amgrak, OP? If so then the Harvester should have disgusted you too much. We've already seen the thing.

No. Since I don't have money. I cannot really pay for DLC. I really just save up for the games and am a litle annoyed and peeved at the fact that I need to buy DLC to be caught up in a games Lore.

You didn't miss much....other than the toughest boss fight in either game.

No matter what I tried to do the two dwarves and the golem always went down soundly really quickly, which left my Warden alone against the Harvester and the constant spawning enemies in the room.

Got the achievement for beating it on the hardest difficulty though.

My tip? Poison stacked in that game. I stock piled poison ahead of time. Massive damage a hit, every hit.

First reaction?

You ungrateful knife-eared tosser! See if I stick my neck out for you again!

Second reaction?

Seems like no decision I can make in this damned game makes a blind bit of difference to how it turns out. I got a bit annoyed in DAO where every conversation could have seemingly dire ramifications, but at least in DAO I felt like my choices mattered. In this one, it felt like I was being told the story, rather than helping to create it.

i didnt know what orsino turned into was the harvester.  didnt play through golems of An... yet.

My reaction was:

*just mopped the floor with the templars* that was easy.

why is orsino spouting off about the end is near and wth is happening to him?  oh joy, he turned into an abomination.

*smack orsino around*, oh look quato is detaching from him(quaid?)

attack quato, quato remerges with monstrosity, kill orsino abomination.

that was lovely, whats next, is bethany going to turn into one too to add insult to injury?

that was my reaction.

and i agree about the story being weak, especially act 3, but the npcs and companions made up for some of it.

My first reaction was:
Oh **** no!

My next thought was:
Why? Why do I have to fight one of these things again! Ahg!!!

Then towards the end of the battle:
How many phases are there!?! Good lord! This is more annoying than in GoA!

After I totally wailed on him:
***** please!

First reaction: "A Harvester? Really? That's not random at all.."

Second: "You dumb ****, I was slaughtering the templars! This is not helping!"

Third: "The Warden beat one of these with two random dwarves and a toy.. Is having Hawke beat one of them with an elite group and several others really epic?"

Fourth: "that was easy.." (on nightmare)

Overall, the Harvester kept me on my toes in Golems of Amgarrak (which was one of the best DLC's).. It was rather creepy seeing that thing run around. And then the fight itself was probably the most difficult I've played in Origins (on nightmare) and took me several tries (granted the difficulty would be lower if you had your costumized party from either Awakening or Origins). But this one felt really out of place.

Followed by "Yeah... Screw you, too, Orsino." and "The wolves in DAO were more challenging."

My reaction was kind of like Charlton Heston's reaction to seeing the Statue of Liberty in Planet of the Apes.

That was the reaction I had to Anders' little stunt earlier.

FANRAAAAAAAAAAGE FUUUU this is so RANDOM they just wanted to make a boss fight at the cost of sense!

It was even worse than being forced to kill Thrask's little party even though I wanted to join with them. I just felt like there were so many pointless combats in the game.

I even named the save game after that battle "that was utterly pointless."

Lol Harvester reaction:
"NEVER siding with Mages AGAIN. I MYSELF am a mage and after fighting BLOOD mages and DEMONS throughout HALF of Kirkwall to get here, I do believe the Templars were RIGHT AFTER ALL. ANNULMENT FOR THE WIN!"

Village idiot swears rather loudly as her husband rushes into the living room to see what has drawn her ire this time though her utility of profanity whenever she plays video games is not uncommon.

Husband: What the heck is that thing?

Village Idiot: <swear word> Harvester. I hate that Jabba the Hut looking thing. *shudders* I MUST kill it with fire! Now!

Husband: *raises eyebrow* Right...you do that...*husband goes back to making dinner*

Village Idiot: *mutters more swear words and talks smack to the television screen*

I often wondered what the writing team was on when writing out most of the story.

But what was your first time reaction when you saw the Harvester?

Looks like a boss. I wonder if I'll have to fight Meridith after this?

lol that is exactly what I thought as well.

I was more impressed/scared when the giant statues came to life.

The jaw dropping point in the game for me was when mama Hawke became the bride of Frankenstein.
