More thorough testing might be nice. Not sure what the Mass Effect team are doing that the Dragon Age team aren't but both MEs have shipped pretty polished, but DAO, DAA and DA2 have all shipped with some almost game-breaking bugs.
Really? DAO, DAA & DA2 were playable on my computer, no game-breaking bugs or crashes. But for DAO & DAA it does have a memory leak issue. However for Mass Effect 1 & 2, I experience alot of problems trying to boot up the game itself. It would crash after it got past a certain part until I downloaded and installed certain fixes. So I don't think one game is buggier than the other. I believe the issue has something to do with our PCs.

Nothing wrong with our PCs either. I appreciate its harder for any developer to code for the abundance of different PC configurations and builds out there. That's what patches are for. Its certainly easier to build a console version of a game, since its one hardware for one platform. But for PC users a console port will always be lacking, since the hardware being used isn't top notch compared with a well configured PC.

After DA2, I don't really care anymore. If I want more quality DA adventure, I will go back to Origins. If I want more hack n' slash rpg, I will wait for Diablo 3.
Absolutely.
Or The Witcher 2, or Dungeon Siege 3, or Skyrim, and no doubt a bunch of other smaller ones too. Bioware did exactly what I warned them not to do.

I have little to no expectations for Dugeon Siege 3 when i learn its being made by Obsidian, but yes even then it might just be better than DA2.

Exactly.
If they wanted to cash in on the big dumb mainstream market, they should have just come up with a new game, or at least done it with something like Jade Empire which could work FAR better as a hack n slash than Dragon Age. They could succeed in that market but it needs flashy graphics, and a more up to date engine, and it needs to be fun.
Dragon Age 2 is stupid because it satisfies niether audience. The nerdy old rpg stat types (like me
They want the COD audience, but COD has that audience because it built up towards it and they do a great job.. They have Crysis standard graphics and a modern engine, and well made, action packed set pieces. Escaping on the back of a truck while skidoos and trucks chase you through the mountains, etc.. If EAware want that market they need to up their game, and they need to figure out the game's identity too. Is it a hardcore RPG? Or is it a big dumb button mashing action game? It needs to be distinctly one or the other, and do a good job at either. I personally don't think it would be possible to satisfy both audiences. DA:O probably came pretty close, but the two audiences are so different, such polar opposites, I don't think it's possible to truly satisfy both of them in the same game.
Bioware needs to choose.

Well one of these days they have to get it right. Someone bought me DS3 as a thank you gift. Still not sure what the release date is.

DA 2 is better than Origins to me so..............I guess my opinion is too crazy to count.
So what?
You are either:
1) a troll
2) or someone that probably bought the wrong game when buying DAO (which is strange, since if you want a cinematic action-game with RPG elements why would you buy DAO? It would be the same if you went to watch a romantic-movie while actually wanting to watch an action-movie)
There are mor than enough more cinematic-action-RPGs why should every RPG be such a game? If you dont like a certain genre its not a problem just dont buy it, but trying to make every brand in a genre you like is rather annoying for people who actually liked the other genre.
You misunderstand. I LOVE Origins. I just feel that DA2 is even better. It seems to be a minority opinion. I just assume people will think I'm crazy for thinking DA2 was better than Origins even when I loved Origins and have something like 10 completed (awakening included) characters.
DA2 combat feels exactly like Origins, its just sped up. I'm the type of person that Pauses after each kill even in Origins in order to issue new orders to my whole team so I really don't notice much of a difference.
My major reason for likining DA2 combat is that much more of the Talents are useful leading to multiple builds being viable which gives more reasons to play the game again.
The Story in DA2 felt more personal. I really like the inclusion of family members and the actions of companions suchs as Isabela, Merrill, and Anders really imperess me in the game. My reaction to their actions is often my favorite parts of the game.
I feel I have a closer connection with my Hawke and his companions then I did with my Warden which is shocking even to me since I LOVE origins and didn't think this was even possible. Yet Bioware somehow managed to do so.
The Story also delved deeper into the Qunari and Mage vs Templar Conflicts which is exactly what I hoped for after playing Origins.
So yes, I love DA2 more than Origins because I feel its taken everything I loved in Origins and made it better.
If you liked it better more power to you.It was the opposite with me.DA 2 was just ok to me.I thought Origins had the better storyline. There were to many holes in the plot in DA2.Also some of the replies..I just shook my head at them.As far as I know there is no law against enjoying both games.I could be wrong.
