I destroyed the game data(not the saves), reinstalled everything, patched AFTER installing WH, and it STILL wouldn't autosave. So I went to the game options and enabled the 'save automatically' option, which I had disabled before. I then loaded my last save again, went through the final conversation with Morrigan, and IT WORKED! Autosave! Hooray! Hope this helps someone.

Funny how disabling something causes problems like this? You'd think it would have been a forced autosave.

Problem solved, it was because the patch was installed before the dlc, I deleted the game data, installed the dlcs, installed the game and the patches.
