So I thought my cd key would be automatically attached to my account here, but it wasn't. The girlfriend threw away my instruction manual, so I have no cd key and cannot download the toolset.
Anyone know where the cd key might be located in files? Is there any other way for me to get it?

Open the game and hit theConfigure button, not Play. Try the information option, but it's in the configuration menu somewhere.

The best people to call is EA support I think. While you may have a legitimate claim here, we can't advocate any reverse engineering to dig out a key from the system. (You are essentially asking how to hack a key back out of an installed game.) As for any other way to get the key? I don't know.

Your stor is sad and all, but this IS the internet and nobody here can confirm or deny your circumstances. You could easily be some guy with an eyepatch and a pegleg, stroking his parrot and drinking grog while waiting for tips on how to make his latest scheme work.

Manuals tend to be very bulky and take up alot of volume/space; this in combination with being difficult to store, throwing them away is understandable!

Bioware has been allowing us to register keys with our accounts for a while. It was the first thing I tried to find when I finished installing the game. I went to the old BW site where it has my NWN and BW keys, first. Then, found it here later. (If it wasn't for that feature, I'd have several games I could never play again.)

Your game key is not stored on this site, unfortunately. Check your computer registry. It's possible there may be an entry left in your registry with your key in there.

Here is my issue... I had problems with my computer and had to completely wipe it... I lost my CD key during a move.. is there ANY way I can still access my account and get a download somewhere? Or am I just completely screwed?
